Im a bit glad clubs are finally telling UEFA and FIFA to feck off

Yes and no, this is not the way. fecking over Burnley and co. even more doesn't solve footballs problem, a salary cap, a transfer cap, a wage cap thats what football needed.

Nobody other than the clubs is going to benefit from this at all, it'd be absolute madness for a player or manager to sign for a club in this new league unless they resolve the issues with the FAs/UEFA.

They've gone in about it on MotD there. I swear the program even ran over time? What's the angle there?

I think Danny Murphy was putting too much weight on players wanting to play for their country. If the club is making more money they'll be in a position to ask for more, so that will surely rule. He didn't seem to think so but I reckon that would definitely be the case with a lot.

  No, I really do. People are terrified of change for some reason. The game has been crying out for a shakeup, this is going to be fantastic to watch
I just don't understand how anyone can think this is a good thing. I feel sick at the thought of this.

Arsenal have a massive pull world wide, of course they're in it. Clubs have worked hard to become big clubs, why should Stoke get the same amount of prize money as United?
Have Man city worked hard or have they just won the lottery? This destroys domestic football.

Christmas for Arsenal... miss top 4 by a country mile, yet somehow get in to the Super League!

A club that literally wangled their way into the league on the back of Liverpool and United match fixing. They know how to exploit a situation.

My initial reaction is one of horror.

But if it is just going to be a mid-week match competition and not going to replace the actual leagues! Then with some co-operation it could possibly be able to work.

Dropping the carabao cup for starters would make some room in the calendar. Trimming the CL group stages down wouldn’t be a disaster either.

The teams involved are trying to grab as much money as they can for sure. Plus some of the details like no relegations make it a joke...

Calling it a Super League is misleading too, i would have just marketed it as a alternative to the CL, or even a competition for the years when an international cup isn’t happening.

Lots of possibilities, but they seem to have gone about it in all the wrong manner.

I'm very angry and emotional but does anyone think clubs will get together and protest?

This is going to end up in court proceedings by UEFA/FIFA etc against the clubs.

Really hope the likes of Messi, Ronaldo, Pogna etc take a stand and dont back it.

The overreactions are hilarious, no one has any clue how this will ultimately impact the PL and yet it’s the end of football .
The funniest thing of all it's likely Neville's rant that has played a huge part in whipping up this frenzy, a rant he made while on a shift with the wonderfully pure Sky Sports.

Sky and BT under the Premier Leagues orders charging fans £15 a game during a pandemic and they have the balls to come out and criticise this.

Everybody is in it for the cash, they’re all in on the heist they just don’t like their cut.
This. Anyone of these (skysports, BT) trying to take moral high ground Should feck off.

It all feels distinctly WWE during the Invasion years. Where's Stone Cold turning up at the stadium to give everybody a Stunner?

I just don't understand how anyone can think this is a good thing. I feel sick at the thought of this.
I think he's about 7 years old. Anything else doesn't make sense unless he's Joel Glazers personal arse cleaner.

Look at it this way: Personally for me? Dont like it, will it happen - YES: why? Because Bayern PSG and those not participating will loose a lot of income. Commercial income, sponsors, tv and so on. Super league got the upper hand. All clubs and leagues now need to re-regoniate their deals and salaries. Uefa is out of cards. Sad, sad, day for all so far economic. Need to see model before taking a stand there but Uefa and Fifa made this possible with their scams. Anyone thinking a panel from FIFA and UEFA winning in courts are blind.

This has literally been the case since this morning when it was announced. It's the FA that want to kick us out of domestic football, not United wanting to leave...

Over reaction, no?
No, he's right. I'm deeply ashamed of United tonight. The club that took English football into European competition now walks out, in order to establish a new closed shop for the mega rich.

We lost our best ever team whilst trying to win the European Cup. Is nothing sacred? Those players and Sir Matt will be turning in their graves.

So are we gonna have Euro 2020 or nah? It'd be a bit silly to go ahead if players from all these teams are banned.

Or they want FIFA and UEFA to take some of the blame for being unwilling to move, when they then say they are doing it anyway and leaving their domestic competitions.
Yeah, that's quite likely, too.

Man...today's been absolutely insane. So much has happened now, and I wonder how the players and coaches will feel about all of this.

I see that, i hope the league stays the same and that CL is abolished with UEFA into oblivion
