This is simply peak capitalism. It speaks of a 'free market' but its never been that. Some will always be too big to fail. A true free market would see Real and Barca cease to exist because of their financial mistakes and two other Spanish clubs take their place. However there is no free market. Just like in every facet of business. The 'free market' is a fecking lie sold to the stupid.

Porto's president said today they were informally approached but said they were not interested. He's a professional bullshitter though, so who knows.

Ffs, I'm at a lost as to who's more of a cnut, Woodward or Perez?
In this case, it's Perez.

Woodward, for all his faults, is only an employee of the Glazers doing their bidding.

The more difficult question is who the bigger cnut is out of Perez and Joel Glazer. Those two seem to be the main architects of this insurgency.

I couldn't withstand Perez' quotes. Pure elitist mentality "we'll save the football" bullshit. No you're just doing it for yourselves, the 12 clubs are just in it for more money for them to control the sport and nothing else.

No arguments with pointing out the free market doesn't exist. But if Barca and Real were really forced to deal with the shit they've made for themselves, what would happen is the clubs being sold. To similar people who now own AC Milan and Man Utd. Because they're worth many times over what they owe.

Err, what? If SL teams weren't in a domestic league then how exactly would they qualify for the current CL? Also isn't SL supposedly going to be during the week so as not to conflict with domestic leagues?
What? So they’ll still play Domestic, ESL and CL?
What does this mean?
So it sounds like they just want to replace the domestic leagues altogether.
This might offer some more clarity.

So Perez is suggesting that the Super League can have a second division for teams that qualify for the CL but not necessarily for one of the five remaining spots (if I'm not mistaken)?

This is the dynamic of communism being pushed through by pushing this idea of the rich being greedy. Capitalism vs Socialism. They're sneaky. The reality is in both scenarios the rich stay rich but ultimately, the really rich are those who MAKE the money not who HAVE it because money is given and can be taken away. This is such a big thing. We as peoples talk about conspiracy all the time but people don't understand that someone is turning the screw slowly and many cannot perceive it because it seems to be a random thing that's come out of the blue. It goes well beyond football. Well beyond it.

In many fields, the financial reset....which is being pushed by slogans that people might have seen but don'r even know they exist because they never looked into anything but pornhub...have been out in the open for years but have plausible deniability and people who stop conversation by being ignorant. But look ....nationalists are racist...and people fought in wars for their peoples and the land and now that's racist......people don't understand the problem we have here but we can recognize it by it being a parasite. Most people are decent, but ignorant. There are a minority of people who exhibit parasitic behavior and these are the ones who push all these things to change/alter society. Jesus said a kingdom divided cannot stand. We live in a 'democracy'....which is the division by percentage BUT....did any of these clubs ask the supporters? Do any of them appear to be listening? It speaks to a cultural Ill.....and goes far beyond the sport ....

But this will be shown in addition by the vaccine where they try to deny your right to say no. And there was a course given on how to convince people to take it. Of course, it wouldn't have been advertised to the public. This is hearsay but people need to grow up somewhat and face facts. They're parasites and this level of greed speaks to greater issues. We will diagnose kids will all sorts of things. But these rich people who are from another mother? They're just mean. They're just evil. No, I think they're beyond that personally. Sorry for going round the houses but this is a bigger issue then just the sport of football.

Also the soundbytes as we know are just pr after the back lash. After the war I think americans weren't meant to get taxed but they still were haha. The point being, these people are liars. They want you to BUY into what they're SELLING. They will say nice things because they know what people moan about but their words mean nothing and never will. However, this corruption started a long time ago and the root is money through bribes and blackmail so it's about time people spoke out properly and not try to censor one another by using words that gave you to do just that.

Yeah definitely. My mistake on that!

I'll never forget the time I saw perez outside the Beetham tower/Hilton hotel in Manchester (real madrid were there before the match against us in 2013) and before he walked into the reception he stopped along the way to get pictures with journalists and fans. I had my phone in my hand and he walked towards me expecting me to ask for a photo and I just shook my head. He gave me the biggest dirty look ever and proceeded towards an annoying screaming woman besides me.

Never liked the cnut.

Florentino Perez: "If young people find football matches too long we might have to make the football matches shorter"
Shorter football matches

This I'll never accept.

Anyone else get the feeling he is talking out of his arse right now and there are no clear ideas what to do if all the leagues say FU

To fix the problem you also have to understand this problem. For the drivers of the ESL this is as much about the failure of FFP as anything else. The ESL will have a salary cap and maybe a transfer cap. If UEFA had enforced their own rules this wouldn’t be happening. You are inevitably part of the situation you face.

I am disgusted by this whole debacle, but we need to fix what is broken for us to defeat this ludicrous proposition.

Bingo, this has been inevitable for years with all the clubs being bought by billionaires.

I think he means that teams can choose to stay in the Champions League or join the second division of the Super League, but until I see the video I'm not sure

I think the endgame could be a Europe-wide football league pyramid.

Two tiers to start with. More in the future. Qualification to the bottom tier would happen through winning national leagues.

Relegation makes this sound much more palatable. As long as the 15 founders can still drop down the ladder if they finish bottom.

It's hilarious that your somehow a shill for both opposing oil teams because you disagree on whether or not Barcelona were the architect of their own demise.

The problem is probably that instead of only pointing the finger at PSG and City, I also point the finger at all the old clubs who built their fame on heavy and lengthy sugar daddying. I have never been against a system that limits spendings but I am against one that prevents clubs to do what the Agnelli family did for Juventus because that's inherently unfair, you can't pretend to seek fairness with an unfair mechanism. I have also always been for heavy sanctions against City and PSG because they agreed to respect FFP and should be punished when they don't.

BBC were right. It's all about attracting the young fans that prefer watching superstar players over following clubs.

The more I hear about this, the more I think FIFA are involved in this. They were linked to a new Super League last year.

FIFA have been talking about a World Champions League and they've been pushing for a World Cup every 2 years instead of 4.

Might be a power grab by FIFA to push Uefa out and replace the Champions League and European Championships.

Shorter matches? Jesus Christ

These teams are trying to change football for the worse
