One game and a lot of the credit he built for himself and the team is out of the window. He deserves our backing, but today was atrocious. And this is also down to some abysmal tactical errors.

It won't.

It definitely will for the mentally weak ones. And evidently there's still a few of them out there.

ETH did a good job peeling off the top layer of mentally weak players, Maguire and Ronaldo etc, but there's still another couple of layers to go.

He’ll be absolutely fuming. Can’t blame him for our players forgetting how to play football in the second half.
He can fume all he wants. Until unless he learns and prioritises how to control games and manage possession it will be chaotic.

Has to share a lot of the blame, got a lot wrong and has done in plenty of away games. Needs to come with a better plan in these games.

Overall he’s still done a great job so far but that was our worst ever Premier League result and him and all the players are at fault.

Don't think anyone (seriously) wants him gone but he's lost a lot of goodwill with today's performance and result.
That happens with just one result?
It's a freak one and there will be bumps along the way but one result shouldn't result in losing a lot of goodwill.

At least people will finally shut up about ole's 5-0

Oh, my team losing 7-0 is actually great because the ex-manager I fanboy for now looks less shit by comparison.

Feck off. You're as bad than the other poster who keeps making anti-Ole posts and threads out of nowhere. Not everything has to be about fecking Ole.

Hard to really know what went wrong. You can talk about Bruno playing left and Weghorst, but that isn’t the reason for the second half collapse. Didn’t really feel like a tactical problem, more mental - not sure Ten Hag can take much blame for that considering what we’ve done so far this season. It’s a massive backwards step for our confidence though.

Losing goals at the worst possible moments - just before and just after half time is rough. Liverpool could then control the game how they wanted, forcing us into cheap turnovers which they finished incredibly well. It's a hard one to take buts its one game

I seem to remember Aston Villa putting 7 past Liverpool not so long ago. Doesn’t get talked about much because everyone knew Liverpool were a good team with a good manager. As we are now under ETH
They weren't rivals. Liverpool shipped 5 at home just a week ago.

But they showed real flaws in Ole as a coach. The same has happened today to ETH. No excuses. You can't lose 7-0 to anybody and think you're making progress. I don't think he can come back from this. The damage done could be beyond repair. So many of this squad just need any excuse to down tools and throw the manager under the bus. They have it now.

No it doesnt. Arteta looked hopeless at Arsenal for a long time and now they're playing fantastic football and look dead on to win the league.

He had a mare. Wout and Dalot should not have started. Rashford not running at Trent is criminal.

We are also tired and have too many games coming up. Facundo should have been playing more. Same with Mainoo.
The only thing that surprised me was Dalot starting after his problems against WHU and having to bring AWB on.

Even Fergie's teams got absolutely battered at times, give ETH credit for the work done so far, he'll be honest in the post match and the players will know they have let him down badly

Genuinely think some people need to shut up shop and get off this forum. We lost 6-1 at home to Spurs a few years ago, 5-0 at home to Pool and the 6-1 to City. Barely gets spoken about and neither were two of those results the end of Ole.

We'll live. Its not the end of the world. We saw a huge reaction last time around and we're going to see another one again.

What are you talking about ? The 5-0 loss to Liverpool was talked a lot about here and in the media.

Come on , it could easily have been 9 or 10. It was a massacre and we were just like a dear staring at the headlights for that 2nd half. But hard to change a game when you are getting beaten comprehensively everywhere on the pitch.

And we could have also scored 4. It flatters them. 3-1 or 4-2 its more of a result for the game.

They were obviously alot better than us second half where we went to pieces.

The way some people are reacting is just embarrassing. Grow up, seriously.

Yeah its crap, but if you can't see the bigger picture then have a word with yourself. He will be as angry, or more so, than you.

Absolute joke of a forum this place sometimes.

I still don't understand his dislike for a pure 3-man central midfield.
He got schooled tactically by Klopp today.
Yeah so tactically schooled we had the better chances in the first half.

I understand the want for a three man midfield as it helps control games better but we just don’t have the players and Bruno being a key player makes it harder. It’s a tough one going forward as I do wonder if a team can dominate posssesion consistently with Bruno as a second striker l

I do hope people realise we need a RB on top of a keeper for a reliable defense. People have put dalot on a pedestal like he’s fecking cafu where in reality he’s just being decent.

They weren't rivals. Liverpool shipped 5 at home just a week ago.
They are likely to go out of the CL, this is all they have to play for. Didn't help we made it easy for them. However we have other things to go for. We have one trophy, going for two more and can get Top 4.

This is the reality check we needed before the last push this season.

You get too comfortable, this is what happens.

(Our ridiculous fixture list hasn't helped either)

One of his biggest tests and Ten Hag was lacking. Now the real test is where he goes from here. Have to believe he will sort this.

One game and a lot of the credit he built for himself and the team is out of the window. He deserves our backing, but today was atrocious. And this is also down to some abysmal tactical errors.

If the credit you gave him could be undone by a single performance be honest about the fact you didn't give him much credit at all.

Come on. Why is among our fans always black and white with managers? If manager is shit then it is all on him and when manager is the one (and ETH IS the one) then he is perfect and blameless? Don't tell me that you think that when team loses 7:0, all blame is on players?

Fergie did mistakes. Pep did mistakes. It happens. Eth will learn from that and move on.

That's fine, maybe take it up with all the baby-brained idiots yelling about firing ETH after every loss.

Why do I need to back that up? It's not even Einstein. It's just logic.
Not necessarily. It has more to do with shape and organisation than mere back 4/5/6. Fergie lost 6-1 too, it’s not unheard of this past decade. Important that we bounce back.
