What is this?

Together with Marco van Basten..... and some actor i dont know

You'd be surprisedNo. Would the BBC invite Tom Holland as a pundit though?
The Athletic corroborate their sources very well - and if you read the article they reference direct sources to coaching staff and also cite an actual in-game example as an illustration - against Liverpool in the FA Cup after a corner where Ten Hag shouted at Lindelof-Varane to stay at the half way line and they immediately retreated. He showed visible anger at that time too.
If your insinuation is that the brief to Athletic came from Ten Hag's side, it just cements mine and a few other's point that he instructed the players to be stationed higher and they failed to do it.
As am I - except this article supports my view on the situation and has direct briefs from the coaching staff. So we're in a position where me and some others have said he's not trying to have a seas gap between defence and midfield by design of his own tactics, and others are claiming he has and he's a fraud. Then we get an Athletic brief (not the Daily Star, but the best football source you can probably get) that supports the former argument, and we have posters saying "nah I like my view better". Fair enough, I guess.
It's this, but Licha was injured throughout the year, Lindelof needing surgery being in and out, Maguire with 2-3 extended periods out, Evans needing to play 4x more than we would have liked - and he had to chop and change CB combinations 30 odd times. This makes it very difficult to get the continuity in to help cement the system he wanted. If you read the Athletic article, the likes of Varane and Casemiro also didn't support his views of pressing and working in a system. A system I might remind, was instructed by the higher ups at the time to implement on the team. Couple those 2 with the bad eggs of Sancho and Ronaldo - it makes it generally and uphill task to get your instructions followed across the board.
It's not this.
He should be happy that he has still this job.Further comments in the link below. Doesn't sound too happy with United and how they've dealt with it all.
You'd be surprised
Why? He's still got 1+1 years left on his current one. After everything, him turning down a contract extension would be pretty funny.

Was this said in a joking manner?

He will do, Utd will offer crap terms to bide time. Will be hilarious if he rejects the contract extension.

Because it is the new norm. Contrary to what you might think the SAF's United doesn't exist anymore. We are currently closer to Totenham than we are to the top. The only thing we have other them is money and history. And as Chelsea has proven, money without the right owners means diddly squat.I like how finishing 8th is just casually mentioned. Worst PL campaign in modern era is not a "disaster", alright.

Since SAF retired we finished 7th, 4th, 5th, 6th, 2nd, 6th, 3rd, 2nd, 7th, 3rd and 8th. The idea that we were this club that competed on all fronts until ETH came and turned us into a laughing stock doesn't hold up when you compare it to our previous seasons. We finished 7th the season before he took over for God's sake.
The point is we are in the middle of a restructuring process. Our football organization is being overhauled. ETH is building something. Giving him the boot on the back of winning another trophy would be in line with a series of disastrous decision we've done since SAF retired. Thank God we didn't
Is he the type of man that will accept certain responsibilities taken away from him if INEOS do alter things? Full control on the say of player recruitment, style of football changes.
Not sure he will.
Might not agree to certain things.
That "new structure" isn't even set in yet, we are still missing key figures there. I think we should talk about it fully once Ashford is finally confirmed and maybe even more additions coming. You’d hope they’ve already agreed that recruitment will be moved away from ETH, because if that forms part of the negotiations and it hasn’t already been settled, then it could be messy. The last thing we need is to end up delaying or compromising on the new structure to adhere to the previous agreement around recruitment. Whether ETH is the right manager for United or not, he is not unequivocally not the right person to head up recruitment. If he can’t agree to that then he should be let go immediately.
So where do we go if ETH says not acceptable i'm off?Further comments in the link below. Doesn't sound too happy with United and how they've dealt with it all.

Yeah it seems like next level ineptitude to conduct a review and all assess all available options, without making sure that the option you decide on wants to work in the structure you’re implementing. You’d hope they’ve already agreed that recruitment will be moved away from ETH, because if that forms part of the negotiations and it hasn’t already been settled, then it could be messy. Maybe Ineos are playing 4d chess and plan to box ETH into rejecting a contract offer just in time for the Euros to finish..........
It was clear that everyone wasn't just be plucking things out of thin air for no reason with all the simultaneous reports of discussions with other managersI hope that puts to bed the narrative that it was all media speculation about talking to different coaches.
