Why? He's highly rated.I’m still reeling from Jason Wilcox being our technical director. Does he have anything to do with this decision?

Nobody else has voiced a problem with it!!
You have literally just gone out and made shit up. Astounding.Guestimating things that should be obvious to everyone, yeh.
Ratcliffe wont be giving a strong opinion, that's what he employs Brailsford, Blanc and then Wilcox for. Berrada will probably be similar because he's a commercial guy.
If Brailsford is playing devil's advocate that probably means he's critiquing both sides and being something of an arbiter. So there has to be significant people on the other side of the argument. And let's not forget the decision to sack him was probably already made weeks ago with input from everyone.
Ten Hag and Ashworth/Wilcox will not get on well together. If he stays. I guarantee it. He already refused to work with Rangnick. He puts control of transfers in his contracts. He wont get on well with football people telling him what to do unless he's already buddies with them. It was easy with Murtough because Murtough did everything Ten Hag asked of him, their working relationship was backwards.
Whether it's Southgate or McKenna I think Ashworth will be pushing an English head coach who will be easy to manage and happy to focus on coaching.
Which would be a fair way of looking at itPersonally I put every one of them as a possibility, so I don't have an answer to your question.
Wonder why.
I think the general perception, for him and most of his supporters, is it was in line with expectations with Martinez and Shaw missing. That’s almost sounding as though he thinks he overachieved this season in reaching 8th!
No I think Utrecht he had a stint that was very good by their standards but not top 3.At Utrecht?
Because you disagree with his opinion? Show some respect man.
Of course those are your only options.Underestimated how difficult it is to manage Manchester United?
Underestimated the league?
Overestimated his own abilities?
Perhaps a combination of all three.

There was pictures of fans looking unhappy, doesn't mean they know whats best.

That’s how we ended up with AntonyWell if we don’t secure the signings that he requires to have us progress, INEOS will rightly be blamed. You can’t keep him and then refuse to support him with the players he wants and needs.
Doesn’t matter. You need to support him and get him whatever he needs or else you are not giving him a chance to succeed. Even if you are underwhelmed by some of the signings. That’s how we ended up with Antony

Apparently we're a cup team now, people are happy with a good cup run - the league isn't important it seems. What about the 8th place finish, 14 league defeats and a negative goal difference?
Jacobs mudded
A season like that is a fall off? Nah man, look at how Ajax is doing since Ten Hag left.Listen it's not my opinion, but what they were saying is that there was a considerable fall off in his last season in terms of performances, and that they scraped over the line by 2 points. PSV just had 1 loss and +90 GD, with a worse team in Eredivisie. Perhaps we should employ Bosz?
I agreeTaking their time? What an absolute joke when they've taken far too long as it is.
They have to be putting days between now and the FA cup win purely for optics.
Waiting this long to keep really undermines any confidence left
Yeah taking 2 weeks after the FA Cup final to decide we want to keep him screams that we weren't not all that convinced in him. On the other if we sack him, potential targets may be put off or get lured elsewhere. They have to be putting days between now and the FA cup win purely for optics.

Damn it, CarlWe're delaying because we need to wait for Southgate.
But typically there isn't such a public 'review period' of the incumbent manager that lasts so long.No such this as waiting to keep. He is under contract, the default is he is staying.
Jeez that was uncalled for "green laughing emoji
Anyway I'm also concerned about the choice of the new manager dragging as well and unless our transfer strategy decides to pursue our targets without the said managers input we could lose some precious time in acquiring our desired targets.
But maybe I'm just too jaded from all the club sale saga so hopefully it all ends well.

Bosz? I’m not sure he can do it outside of Holland based on his adventures.

There is no way we will delay another month. We're delaying because we need to wait for Southgate.
I remember the games against Benfica; they were very difficult to play against, they are tactically very good. The main criticism Ajax supporters had were the football getting worse and the results were squeezed out at end of the 21/22 season, him playing Kudus way too little even when fit. Also going out of the CL against Benfica unnecessarily after 6 wins in the group stage was mostly because of his tactics. In a way we had gotten a little spoiled but there was no denying it got a lot worse after the winter break that season.

No chance that happens, ETH isn't stupid and it's not like Real Madrid are waiting until the CL final retire Ancelotti and bring in ETH.Or dragging it out hoping he will quit for another job and save them from having to pay him off.
Although it wouldn’t be a complete shock if they get rid of him after the CL final. They seem to like doing thatNo chance that happens, ETH isn't stupid and it's not like Real Madrid are waiting until the CL final retire Ancelotti and bring in ETH.
Disagree. If they‘ve decided to keep that could have been announced last Sunday. I just don’t believe they are only now debating the decision, given the season we’ve had and the data that was available to them prior to the Cup Final. There may be a split amongst the decision makers (whoever they are) but this should have been ironed out weeks ago. The big message this is sending, to me, is they do not have unanimous confidence in EtH - or they would have announced he was here for next season already. No such this as waiting to keep. He is under contract, the default is he is staying.
