Especially when they dont seem to have even been a fan when Jose was managing, since he's also won 2 trophies.

Oh please dont tell me you're gullible enough to think a) the review hasn't already been done and b) it takes a week to summarise a review.

Why are they pre-empting this mythical review tapping up other managers?
Let’s hope it’s not how we prepare bids
Man Utd are in the initial stages of preparing a bid
Man Utd are expected to submit a bid in the next few days
Man Utd are in the final stages of preparing a bid

This fan base never learns.

Emotionally charged backing of a manager that has completely under performed.

Absolute nutters you'll want him out two months into the season after he's signed another 200m worth of duds.

Ridiculous and embarrassing.

I can’t believe people now want him to stay, it’s mind boggling, how can one game trump every other game bar the Liverpool result?

if he stays we’ll be no different next season, I don’t get how people can’t foresee it

His tenure ended the second some numpty told him to play direct because of the United way. His fault for obliging it in the first place. We got a specialist tactician and barely got to see him build for his actual style.

Fergie's pedigree is irrelevant to a statement that Ten Hag was an unknown bum or a chancer. Chancers and bums don't win silverware in almost every year they've managed.

This is objective, not even some sort of subjective standard evaluation. You made a shit exaggerative post and you've been called out. As you'd say, "don't let me catch you doing it again"

I know you look up to me, as evidenced in the above post - me warning you to stop making stuff up is imprinted in you. To me, it was Tuesday.

Ten Hag is a bum/potential chancer in my book, and no amount of league cups nor Eredivisie titles will change that. Whatever inadequacy you feel because I don't rate Ten Hag nowhere nearly as highly you do, it's just something you have to sit with. I don't care. If you stalk my posts closely - you're sure to see me dismissing him and achievements I don't care about again. Be easy

Are you winding us up?
No, I am not winding you up. Amrabat's situation at United mirrors the challenging beginnings experienced by our legends like Evra and Vidic. Despite the difficult start, Amrabat has shown flashes of brilliance and adaptability. With time, patience, and the right support, he can become a valuable player for this club. Given the limited transfer budget, securing Amrabat permanently seems like a logical move. Bringing him and Joao Neves in to strengthen our midfield would be a good first step for INEOS in the transfer window.

You're correct, but it's worth mentioning the unprecedented magnitude of off-field challenges that Ten Hag has had to deal with, which are beyond the typical scope of a manager's responsibilities. Despite the challenges, his ability to maintain focus and guide the team speaks volumes about his leadership qualities.

Manchester United managerial role is not the typical managerial role, and I don't believe it is remunerated as such (could be wrong). Nonetheless, "a manager demonstrated commitment and professionalism, and the ability to maintain focus and guide the team [to it's worst ever prem finish]" just sounds like, what a manager is supposed to do, no?

Let's be 100% clear, they already decided to sack him.

If they dont, it's because they're weak and u-turned.
Did INEOS tell you that?

If not you're just speculating like all the media out there

I had hopes we’d finally have a decision tonight.

Time to just lurk the thread for a few more days then.
I actually don't mind INEOS and the club taking their time to make a decision. They don't even have all key players (execs and football operations) in role yet. No need to rush such an important decision as the structure comes together.

We were told the review started 5 weeks ago. Not saying that's enough time, but on the face of it, it seems ample time.

Assuming they are in the final stages. Figure out when the next board meeting is scheduled, and you should have an idea of when Ten Hag being sacked would be announced if they were to decide on that. If I were to hazard to guess a timeframe, I would guess 3 days for internal meetings, board meeting on Thursday. Sacked/or not by the weekend. Potential new round of interviews next week.

The fan support could complicate matters and force them to move the decision a week though. It will likely not be decided on fan sentiment, but it would not be unheard of for it to influence the timeframe.

Yeah that's true. But with so many other clubs in the market, it was surely a risky decision to expect them to wait around for something that might not happen. Bayern, Brighton, Chelsea, Liverpool, Milan, Juventus all seem to be moving much quicker than us. Yet we're being told that we could have weeks still to wait for a conclusion. That's not normal.

I do not think we are moving as "slowly" as it looks this time.

Says the guy that randomly quotes my lines  My impact

Are you the guy in the takeover thread that would post “ignore moral issues sign Mbappe” every like twenty pages?

Edit: I’ve just seen it is you. Your posting is vapid and literally no one has ever remembered anything you’ve posted six seconds after you’ve pressed send. Please don’t think you’ve made any impact on this site, your posts are not intelligent enough to really engage with.

For what it’s worth I’ve found lurking but not engaging in this pointless back and forth very refreshing and would encourage you all to do the same.

I just thought we might have an actual ITK based on what others were saying. But clearly not.

The new CEO will only start his role in July and as for Ashworth, who knows. The decision will have to be made before the structure comes together anyway.

This is over hyped
And he guided the team to 8th in the league

I don't think it does. ETH is under contract. Perhaps if there was a candidate who was a clear choice, a decision could be made, but i don't think there is a candidate like that so i think INEOS would find it tenable to give ETH another year while they do long-term planning.

And you're still firmly ETH-out right, after those Overmars quotes?

It's not speculation to say that you dont tap up half a dozen other managers, knowingly risking leaks to the press, if you intend to keep your current one. It's so basic and obvious it shouldnt need to be pointed out or debated.

WHY are people upset that people change their minds after we beat the best team in the world deservedly in an FA Cup Final?

“ha ha! You fools! I’m not like you, I don’t let trophies and emotions override my main footballing focus. Logic and numbers.”

Blah Blah Blah - Saturday was mint if you don’t at least consider keeping ETH after that you’re a wrongun.

Yeah I tend to call nonsense out. Poor trolling.

Because most people are above 12 years of age.
