Pathetic again. Not sure why India are even bothering to play any seamers.

Feels like the rest of this tour and the Champions Trophy are going to be a very difficult watch.
 
Jamie Overton is not a number 7, he cannot bat. Need a better all rounder in there. Paul Walter has been doing well in the franchise competitions and should be looked at. Or just stick Sam Curran in that position. England also need to give serious consideration to bringing Joe Root back as his form in SA has been excellent and it's a bonus with his spin. If Buttler needs to keep for an extra batsman then go with that.

Overton is a better T20 batter than Walter and just clearly out-performed him in the Big Bash. He just has no experience in these conditions. In the likes of England, Australia, South Africa he is the perfect 7 when fit enough to bowl.

What a strange innings this has been.

Should have been 200, then 140, now 170.

Domestic form maybe. Can't see it myself whenever I've seen him for England. He's played 9 matches and has 30 runs. Think we need someone better at batting in that position. If not Walter then Curran.
 
Boom, that should be the match for England. I've criticised Overton's batting but he's been great with his bowling as have all of the England bowlers. England just need to sort how they play spin, try and get Root back in there for maybe Smith and try to nail down the number 7 position.
 
Bowling unit have done a good job in the last couple of games, encouraging signs there at least.

He’s out of form. This stop-gap schedule for specialist like him can be difficult to maintain any momentum or form.

good shots not an indicative of game form in my honest opinion. he did well for a couple of innings during India's regional T20 but that's about it for about 3-4 months. hard to find good international level form. (Not an excuse at all, he should be doing better)
 
Lions side not having a great tour of Australia but Sam Cook is again showing he's capable of making the step-up. He's proven there and in the Championship rounds with a Kookaburra ball that he's still a big threat.

Ben McKinney probably the batter who's stood out.
 
It’s a big moment for this team because it could have gone a different way. Credit to the guys for doing exactly what [Brendon McCullum] wants us to go and do. It’s to entertain. At times it’s not going to work, and that’s fine. But we could easily be 2-1 up in the series if things had gone a little bit better for us at the back end of the second game.

Not watching this but he really is.

He's in the IPL and he is so negative about every thing. You can totally see why he had all these problems playing in a team

Fantastic last over from Overton. Great series for him with the ball.

I think this is probably twenty to many without a Butler masterclass.
 
Allowing Harshit a guy who played as a fast bowler in Australia as a concussion sub for Dube is embarrassing
 
Going to fall short.

I think we are competing pretty well in this series, just a batsmen light in the middle order.

It's been a good warm up into the ODIs and Champions Trophy regardless
