Looks like bullshit quotes from his agent, but I'd prefer to go for this kid than Valencia really.

You prefer a unknown talent to a proven player in the PS? I think you're on your own there...
So hes a left footed right winger? Looks a good prospect albeit very raw. Seems to be a strong little fecker aswell
I hope we don't overpay for him, we were linked with him previously for about 8M
He is actually pure attacking midfielder who can play wide if need be. Not a wingera young left footed left winger with potential.. didnt we sign tosic
having 2 for the same position would be rather pointless , no ?
i..........?
fecking Real Madrid. Is there a more loathsome club in world football?
The strangest bump in the history of the caf?
Something in my water tells me he's our new number 7. Dont ask me why, but he's sharp and quick and he reminds me of a young Ronaldo.
His contract release clause is staggering.

Came across that today and it said his buyout clause £17.8m, if we are interested then I think we could get him for less but who knows. We're linked with such a ridiculous number of players that I hope we are able to go about our transfer business quickly and quiety (hopefully successfully too) and be done with a lot of these "reports" etc.
Manchester United are preparing to sign Gremio starlet Douglas Costa as a replacement for Real Madrid-bound Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the Brazilian's agent.
United's network of scouts have been tracking the 18-year-old attacking midfielder for the last two years, but the Premier League champions are now ready to make a firm offer.
"They (Manchester United) have identified four or five possible replacements for Cristiano Ronaldo in the world, and Douglas is one of them," agent Cesar Bottega said.
"We have been contacted by several clubs some time ago, including Manchester (United), but by South American ones as well."
Douglas, who has received rave reviews in his homeland, has four years remaining on his contract with Gremio but reportedly has a £17.8m buyout clause.
The diminutive U20 international is seen as one of the biggest up-and-coming talents in Brazil - alongside Santos winger Neymar and Palmeiras striker Keirrison - and is also a free-kick specialist. Costa generally plays through the centre but can also play on the left.
Since an £80m fee was agreed with Real for Ronaldo, United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has stepped up his hunt for a suitable replacement. Wigan Athletic winger Antonia Valencia is also a target.
I remember seeing this video when we were 1st linked to him.. Saw it again Today and realised an important thing about him.. It seems like he loves to pass & is not Greedy.. That IMO is a great attribute for such a young player who has so much skill.. He is pacy and seems to be a set piece specialist.. he looks fairly lightweight and also seems a little one footed (however that can be very wrong judgment)
I for one will be following this saga with great intent.. Both Eden Hazard and Douglas Costa have seemed very exciting and the fact that they are so young plays into their hands.. Ideally they should remain with their clubs for a few seasons more and progress further..
After absorbing all the names ,watching the videos and reading the info,I have to agree these two look outstanding and these are the sort of players I would love to see here rather than somebody like the vastly overpriced Ribery.Of course that it is only my thoughts,Alex knows best
