£25 million rated Brazilian sensation, Douglas Costa, has finally spoke out in regards to his antipated transfer to Premiership champions, Manchester United. It was previously thought that Costa was intent on persuing a move to Barcelona, but it can be confirmed that his heart is now set on playing at Old Trafford next year.
"How could anyone say no to Manchester United? Of course, I have a current contract at Gremio, but I'm sure they'd respect my wishes should an offer be tabled. I, like many other youngsters of my age, dream of playing for a team like Manchester United, just as Da Silva and Anderson did. I, too, would like to fulfil my dream."
Sir Alex Ferguson is sure to be alerted by the Gremio prodigy's latest quotes yet, despite having £80 million to spend as a result of Ronaldo's expected move to La Liga runners up, Real Madrid, he is unsure as to whether Gremio's valuation is realistic. Costa has been touted as the "New Ronaldinho" by many corners of the South American press, having illuminated the Brazilian First Division with his explosive pace, trickery and movement. Any potential deal is unlikely to be concluded, however, until the United boss returns from his holiday in France.
