Matic's passing range is much better than Donny. I just don't see him as a proper holding midfielder.
His best attributes are making runs into the box, creating space, breaking tight defenses and scoring goals. Sadly for him, that's where Bruno plays and that's why he's struggling to get minutes

A false equivalence. Chelsea have let hundreds of players go that were a load of rubbish as well. Based on Donny's displays at United he's closer to that category in the Premier League than he is an elite footballer.
He'll probably have a decent career somewhere but he's going to have to do something special to turn this ship around. First he has to oust players that have done well and then he has to actually play some decent, braver football.
He simply isn't getting games. He'll never be match sharp if he's not getting games.

Didn't see it getting this bad but it was always a deal that made very little sense. In a window where money was worth 2x what it could buy because of scarcity, we spent big on backup to our best player when Pogba's better suited to playing that role as well.
Pereira and Lingard have got minutes instead of him. Speaks volume about how little Ole rates him, when he's playing 2 players over him who both want to leave.

Because he’s gone from being one of the main guys at Ajax to the butt of jokes at united. Ole doesn’t fancy him, it’s not clicking, not happening... hopefully something can change.. but he’s got to get minutes to make that happen. He’s not getting them. He was decent for Ajax.
This guy needs to start above Fred and matic! Matic hasn’t played for like months and he looked knackered… we need a new DM we can’t be relying on a 33 year old. I’d try VDB and mctominay together… also we need a coach that specialises in passing because our passing is atrocious!!
