Because it's about time we picked players that have desire to play for England and try their best AND perform, lampard offers that. Sick of picking "prospects" or one game wonders over real match winners. Lampard has done some fantastic passes already to open up a defence
I don't think he's that good. He's a hard working midfielder with a decent pass on him. You're just massively exaggerating and making out he's a pub player with utterly stupid statements.

Not a pen for me, bad touch by Sturridge should of taken it on his right. The defender got in front and shielded the ball and Sturridge just tried to kick through him.

Sturridge is just another Andy Cole isn't he? Decent enough striker but needs 4/5 shots before getting one in. Just not clinical enough.
I'm switching between both games but it seems to me that Lampard is owning the middle and is setting the tempo quite nicely. I think you lot just like to moan for the sake of it.
