If he was that good surely PSG wouldn't let him leave on a big loss?
Still don't think we'd have the personnel to play with 3 at the back. Who would the 3 be? What would happen to Azpi?
No thanks.
That's your opinion. It seems Conte might not agree.
The idea that he's not a good defender is hilarious, we won the fecking Champions League with this guy in our defense!
He really doesn't feck up as much as people think he does, but when he does its usually really dramatic and memorable.

Honestly, his errors seem to get far more scrutiny than other defenders who does the same frequently.
Or indeed Conte has been presented with Luiz as a resolution, with time against them.
We'll all enjoy Luiz's unique, own-brand of defending. He'll be culpable on more than one occasion this season.
I'm glad you see the funny side of it, no matter what his performances are like he'll certainly bring in some entertainment and he seems like a really excellent bloke as well, not a bad signing at all. Some people are old fashioned and still care about things like your CB not occasionally completely losing his mind..
He's a clown and I don't like how he plays. Why ? Its not like he's playing for us.
Same as every defender in the league then. The only sure thing about Luiz is that if he makes a mistake, it will get picked on a lot more than someone like Cahill.
I get that you're defending this transfer. Why wouldn't you.
Though I suspect that you know, like the rest of us, that this is a deal reflective of Chelsea's increasing urgency for a defensive signing. Chelsea have been searching for centre backs all summer, only to find themselves re-signing a player they let go, with only a few hours left.
Think he has the ideal manager now to bring him to a higher level of CB
Still don't think we'll go for a back 3.
My guess is: 4-3-3
Nonsense.
He's been coached by Mourinho, Ancelotti, Blanc and Benitez. You don't get better managers that can help defenders than that.
You make it sound like we released him on a free, rather than accepting the highest transfer fee for a defender in the history of the universe.
We might be spunking 30 odd million back for him but the market has changed, every cnut costs £30 million nowadays.

Though he's always due for a defensive blunder, so it will help us and the rest of the league out.

Conte has admired him for years and wanted him at Juventus. To be fair, in 2 of our first 3 matches he's been very good. Hard working, tackles, and solid in attack. How is Oscar still making the starting XI?
Your response doesn't do anything to address what I've said. I didn't even mention the transfer fee, it's irrelevant.
What about Zouma?
No, he sold him because he fancied Cahill and JT as a partnership (which was justified as they were the best CB partnership in the league that season) and because PSG offered a ridiculous amount that we couldn't possibly turn down.Didn't Mourinho sell Luiz because he wasn't that good?
