Well when you say things like "I can't wait until he faces so and so " it makes it seem like your implying he'll get destroyed. I could say the same thing about our attacking players and some of your defenders. No one in this league has an elite defense.
He'll definitely have a howler here and there. But he was one of our best big game players. Nobody is expecting him to come in and be some monsterous wall of a defender.
He's better than all your CBs at the minute. Luiz and Zouma could be a good partnership for yous. But I think you need another RB to be honest.

Yes you are right. Still can't see what's wrong with what I said. You're a fan of him so let's agree to disagree.

The amount of cash that's been spent on him is mind boggling, but I'm sure it's all above board and totally not money laundering.

I don't think he'd be a bad signing and with Kante and Matic in front of him he'd have plenty of support.

Is there a player who fans and managers rate as differently as they do Luiz? The likes of Mourinho, Ancelotti, Benitez and Blanc all rated him but most fans think the guy is a joke.

He's the opposite of what Conte likes in a central defender.

I think it's because he plays like he doesn't take it seriously at times. Often doing silly things that most professionals wouldn't dare. When he's serious and concentrating he's clearly very talented though.

This is madness, but also makes many of us wildly happy for reasons we can barely comprehend. David Luiz is possibly the nicest, most insane, wonderful yet deeply frustrating player we've ever had. If we bring him back he'd probably cost us several games, win us several more and make the majority of Chelsea fans have large beaming smiles all season, so feck it lets make this happen!

Have people & Chelsea forgotten what a liability he was at the back at times. Yes he was good on occasion but made many errors at the back. Selling him for 50 Million was a fantastic deal for Chelsea. Was it Mourinho who sold him?

How incredibly desperate.

He's technically and physically everything you want in a player, but he has the football brain of a pea.

Maybe he's improved since I last saw him but from what I can remember, he's was a defender capable of having a really dominant game but also making a fool of himself. So I wouldn't be bothered at all with him signing with Chelsea. Never looked like he could be a top defender. Might just put in a MoTM peformance against a big team but over the season id expect him to not be good enough.

'You don't agree with my opinion of a player, therefore, you must not have watched him much'

Err... okay

I have to be honest he's underrated here. Name any defender, even legends like Baresi, and they've had bad games. Thing is I've never seen a defender with such a low floor level capacity. When Luiz is off his game, he's really bad.

Welcome to the wonderful world of football forums.

Please let this be a nonsense rumour. He breaks out from the back at the wrong time and doesn't track back. Yes some of his skills catch the eye but I can't help thinking about the Germany game at the world cup. Maybe they won't let him back into Brazil so he's looking to retire at Chelsea.

To be fair to Chelsea, they did bid for every CB in the world this summer before turning back to this guy.

Thing is, when he actually stops fecking around and plays like a proper CB, he's a very good player. He's prone to shocking lapses in concentration, which is obviously less than ideal for a CB, but there is certainly a good player in there. Somewhere....

I thought this was not going to happen? Quite surprised by that, thought i read something yesterday about PSG not wanting to sell him.

Makes John Stones look like Dennis Irwin in terms of mistakes.
