City and Financial Doping | Charged by PL with numerous FFP breaches | Hearing begins 16th September 2024

The thing which slightly ruins my mood over this; City getting any point deduction will mean that Liverpool is winning PL this year.

I don't think a points deduction will happen this season if that's what is decided. It's much more likely to be next season.

If City lose they'll appeal and by the time the appeal is heard and ruled on this season will be over, that said City are well off it this season and look like a side that will end up in a battle for top 4 rather than a battle for the title.

Until they go on a 15 game winning run in the new year

Chelsea are one of the clubs giving evidence in favour of Man City... there are a few PL clubs who are siding by City.

Ones I have seen reported are Chelsea, Villa, Newcastle.

Different things - they gave evidence in the other case because they wanted to be able to get better sponsorship deals. That case is resolved

Yeah worrying they have that kind of backing

Hardly surprising, I think they might be the first fanbase that indoctrinateded themselves into sportswashing and religiously defend not only their own middle eastern owners but also the ones at other clubs. There wasn't even a slow build up after a few years of success the majority of them were fully onboard from day one with it.
It's very cult-like.
'Invasion of the toon snatchers.'

We chastise the idiots on Bluemoon because they hate United more than they like City. You appear to be torn between a bunch of cheating cnuts who have ruined football finally getting their comeuppance (we hope) and Liverpool winning another title.
How exactly you read that from my post?

Gvardiol is the one player I'd take if I had the choice.

It might seem crazy but their squad isn't all that anymore IMO. I do think they're still the best team in the world, but most of their key players are getting old. Haaland is Haaland, I'll give you that, but it's him, Gvardiol, and Lewis really that are their most valuable assets IMO if it came to a "fire sale" because they got expelled from the Prem for multiple years or something. The rest are system players / late 20s / early 30s / or you can simply just find better / similar players on the market.
It never was a squad of superstars.....Giardiola coached them to be the team they have become.....Only Haaland was a real stand out signing. The rest cost a fair bit because it was City that was paying, but many weren't that sought after - Du Bryne had just been dumped by Chelsea

I wish clubs would just shut up until the verdict is done honestly. It just adds more problems to the situation and ultimately gives City a better chance of not getting a punishment because of all the blow back it will cause

Honestly it’s the less of a bigger evil for me. If they get off with this they’ll dominate the league for the foreseeable future

If we get anywhere near a challenging squad in the coming years I’d rather be going head to head with Liverpool than City.

I mean fingers crossed Liverpool could lose Salah, Trent and VVD this summer all for free they’ll be fecked regardless

De Bruyne wasn’t just dumped by Chelsea. He was the best player the Bundesliga had outside of Bayern and we badly wanted him. He was that sought after.

in the long run Liverpool winning the league and City getting utterly gutted and blitz would be tiny price to pay. Unfortunately I think Liverpool will win the league, and City will be punished pathetically.

You literally said that:

"The thing which slightly ruins my mood over this; City getting any point deduction will mean that Liverpool is winning PL this year."

(feck knows where the quote button is, I think I found it by accident once or twice.)
Yes, i said literally that. Key word is slightly. I don't know how you managed to translate that in; "Liverpool not winning title over City ban". You can be delighted with 5:1 win but still be little annoyed with goal which your team conceded.
You are like a Sith who deal only in absolutes.

Worst case scenario is City being punished with 10-20 points.

But, i do think that they will get massive ban. It is just too many charges in question. They WILL be relegated.

If and it’s still the biggest of ifs, they get punished properly, would the owners even bother to stick around? What’s in it for them after the washing has basically failed.

They had no choice but to register their intent to sue by this point otherwise they'd have lost the right to do so. The clubs haven't trumpeted this, but once they register their in tent the media will obviously report it.

The level of punishment City are facing if found guilty is already on a scale greater than ever seen in the PL. This intent to sue isn't likely to influence the outcome at all.

Still not entirely sure what to call the Manchester City project. I feel it’s just as much about getting a foothold, and access to people with power, in the UK as it has to do with sportwashing.

If they're punished properly, then the ownership won't be allowed to stick around.

Only had until this month (I think) to reserve their rights, under Statute of Limitations
