City and Financial Doping | Charged by PL with 130 FFP breaches | Hearing begins 16th Sep 2024 | Concluded 9th Dec 2024 - Awaiting outcome

City's wins don't mean anything

Neither do Liverpool's really in the grand scheme of things.

This cheating regime cheated Utd out of at least 3 titles, which funnily enough is pretty much the same as what they cheated Liverpool out of. Despite them being a much better side than Utd for the best part of a decade.

Wanting cheats to win is just plain weird to me, yeah, they might end up being stripped, but ultimately I think they won't be punished anywhere near as harshly as we'd like to see.

The compensation talk has to expand beyond the PL, as those relegated in lieu of cheats occupying their rightful place surely warrants the biggest wedge as time - especially extensive and outside the parachute payments - will have potentially cost them 100’s of millions.

There are plenty on here who are happy for city to cheat their way to titles so long as it means we don't win. Honestly seems like the default mode here.
I’ll be the odd one out then, I’d rather have a non-cheating league, even if it means Liverpool winning.

Rivalry and hate aside, fairness in competition is way more important for me. Also if it hurts.

Every club who plays by the book should be awarded for it always, it goes both ways. City’s presence has been cribbling the fair teams including both United and Liverpool in the league for so many years.

I think you misunderstand the intent of wanting City to win titles over Liverpool.

My two cents is that as long as City isn't punished, most fans are happy with them winning over Liverpool, as City winning is pretty much a non event as everyone knows that they are cheats and nobody really cares about any of their accomplishments. Whereas the hatred for Liverpool is coming from a real place, but it's also built on some sort of respect for the club that is just not there for City.

Given the choice, I think that the vast majority of posters would send City down to non-league even if it means Liverpool having a clear shot of the title in this and the next couple of seasons.

Absolutely, I personally wanted Klopp’s Liverpool side to take titles off the cheating cnuts but absolutely understood that the majority saw a City title as a nothing event, a Lance Armstrong Tour de France if you like.

@B20 should be well aware that the huge majority of United fans on the caf want club Abu Dhabi hit with the hardest of punishments, despite knowing that will likely lead to more titles for Liverpool.

I wish clubs would just shut up until the verdict is done honestly. It just adds more problems to the situation and ultimately gives City a better chance of not getting a punishment because of all the blow back it will cause

Yeah that's a very valid concern

City are basically are taking to mick now, their behaviour is a disgrace and its about time the other clubs called for them to be thrown out of the league or just refused to play them

Why not just boycott them? That would be the most effective course of action.

I've seen some flimsy conspiracy theories in my time but Red cartel is some serious straw clutching.
Deluded twats making up a fairy tale to absolve themselves from their own lack of moral fibre.

The fact that they are including Totenham in that group had me gasping for air...

If rules are changed to stop other clubs from doing a City again, it’s going to be forever unfair.

I say change the rule AND punish City so that they’ll be back at pre-rule. That’s the only fair outcome for fairness.

When you in an exclusive club that technically invites you in, trying to attack said club probably isn't going to go particularly well for you.

The Premier League should grow some balls and just expell them without reason and watch as they go into panic mode firing lawyer after lawyer at the premier league.

What's their biggest threat in the event this actually happened? PL is blocked in Abu Dhabi? Oasis announce additional tour dates? Someone releases Paul Dickov from his cage?

I'm guessing they can't do this legally, otherwise they would have.

Tbh I'm not sure. I would think it's possible though should there be enough will to do so. I think it's the clubs themselves who would decide and every club has agreed to the rules in order to participate.

So if the usual 14 club rule applies, and 14 clubs voted to expel City without reason, I presume they could.

Apart from losing the easiest lawsuit ever seen, being forced to invite them back and pay damages? Not much.
