The three red card thing is also a weird thing to kill him for when the first one was a bad decision which was rescinded on appeal and the second one was for a high foot while trying to go for a cross. It's hardly some massive pattern of offences.

Another player we probably would have to pay off unless Saudi come calling.

Bruno has so many excuses made for him it's nauseating. We have many problems but we can't keep acting like he isn't one of them.

Come on man, he’s insanely creative. His passing is brilliant, he can turn games with his brilliance. He can run for days. Everyone looks for him because he has the quality to turn a game with his ability.

His passing is the football equivalent to a chef who has 10 Michelin stars and is widely renowned for making the most delicious food in the world but also kills the occasional customer here and there through food poisoning. His passing is highly erratic. I'm almost glad he can't beat the first man at corner kicks since it highlights this fact. He has excellent vision but I wouldn't call him a great passer. Our scouts initially rejected him precisely because he gave the ball away too much. Even a too-high amount of his 'successful passes' are poorly weighted leaving the recipient to backtrack to receive it

He does run for days which unfortunately exposes his positional indiscipline. Scholes and Keane have both called him out for this, much better midfielders than him. He works hard, not smart. Except when we're a few goals down and he just completely stops trying. It's no coincidence that these trouncings we've been on the end of in recent years only became a regular thing after he arrived and that he's the common denominator in almost all of them

All you guys quoting me calling me an idiot (especially Bruno himself!). You win, I don’t have this debate in me.

The thing is, no successful side at top level has player like him. And it has been the thing even back when he was at his best for us.

Best clubs today are almost all about control, especially from midfield. And he is the absolute anti-control player and has always been.

Bruno is the luxury player you can afford as long as you have a good drilled, hard working ans successful team. We do not have this, so shop him, if possible. He is poisoning this team at the moment.

Should be next on the list of players to ship out after Rashford. He still has some value around the league.

The lad has been out of form for 3 seasons straight. The ironic part is that at the same time he is our best creator.
He lost his stamina and creativity as well. Although he's been trying, but he is too slow on the ball and making too many mistakes.
Gool luck Amorim

I'm finding him very frustrating. His passing and overall control can be very chaotic. There are times where his pass can lead to a great chance, or there are times where it gets intercepted by the opposition who have a chance at the other end. When we've got a team who are, on the whole, performing extremely poorly, it also makes Bruno look worse or it highlights the many flaws of his game.

I'm struggling to see where exactly he fits in to the 3-4-3 system. If we've got 10 other players who are at the top of their game or who world class in their positions, then I think Bruno is the chaotic player in that side who turns that great team into a more dangerous one. But, we're nowhere near that. We've got too much inexperience or lack of overall quality in those other 10 positions, which then makes Bruno look wasteful.

We need to look at alternative players for his position either within or outside of the squad. Players who can fulfil the role of what we need in that position within the system, and players who can take us the next level. Bruno will either have to rotate with this person, or he'll have to fight for his position as the number 1 player in that position. Or, he'll have to move on. All of those options work for me.

To do what he did today 90 seconds after the restart is verging on unforgivable.

You’re the Manchester United captain in a team looking for some leadership and some calmness and you’re taking your boot down your opponents ankle. It’s just madness.

The captaincy of this club has been a mess for years, but one thing you’d never get from Maguire is lazy cowardly displays like that.

I’ve advocated for Bruno for as long as I can but that was a sucker punch today. If I woke up to the news that he’s done Rashford tomorrow I’d be delighted.

It actually shows you that he doesn't think in the game. When you are on a yellow, you don't go with your boot high, you go for a header.

When you are on a yellow, and you lose a ball in the final third, you don't tackle the player recklessly when on a yellow, when you know that you have a referee that pulled a card for every tackle we made. Look at Yoro, who got a yellow card in the first 5 minutes, played and managed the game very smartly after the card.

Bruno is the captain, I expect from him to be the mature one. So far, I've seen him do so many, sorry to use the word, dumb things, makes your blood boil. He completely lost his head against Liverpool, often tried nutmegs when we had 1 goal leads, or goes for goal, instead of keeping the ball, and given the defence a breather. He just doesn't think smart at times. And he is the one that should be the calming presence in the team.

I hate his gesticulating to his teammates, whenever someone gives him a short pass, or a bad pass. He even blames other players if he makes a mistake. That's will never be a trait of a true leader. The biggest problem with him is that he has no strength to shield a ball. As soon as a player gets into a duel with him, he is the player that is easily brushed off.

Bruno has pissed me off royally but those little weasel posters using it as an opportunity to go after the fanbase deserve fecking off themselves.
They do, I agree. But this sort of energy is also fueled by some of his fans behaviour after a game that were perceived as good. Can't have the one without the other.
Not sure why people are so aggressive in this thread. Just because united are shit some people take out their frustration here and feel that winning an argument in the forum would make you feel better. I think there is no denying the fact that he has been very bad this season but I think the majority of the squad has been shit and I don't see anything to tell me that if he goes then it will solve our issues. We struggle to create anything at all and the fact that Bruno has struggled this season is showing up how the other attackers are incapable of doing anything at all. He won't play the next game and I am pretty sure we won't be any better
Just remember this plea for the next time he comes up with an assist or a goal or whatever and call out his fan posters who act smugly. And don't do it yourself, in case you did, not going to look into your history.

It is good to see more posters acknowledging things as they are. In todays game, Wolves went against us with physicality and courage to drive through the middle. It exposed our lack of power in the center but also all around the pitch. I don't think, we played particularly badly, we just couldn't deal with them and Wolves had a pretty good game. Bruno struggled whole game against this physiscality and unfortunately lost his head. I tend to agree now, he seemingly can't play Amorims 10 position in the majority of matches which causes an issue because the same issues would pop up if he is played further back. If only we could have seen it coming...

I don’t really like people using the “3 red cards in a season” argument considering how poor the first two were (the first one was literally overturned and the second one was… questionable but at least you could argue that he should’ve been more careful).

Today was a brainless performance culminated in a pointless and rightful sending off though.

You are all being too hard on him, he is probably our best and most reliable player and we would be even in an even worse spot without him.
This type of thinking is why we are where we are. We reward mediocrity at this club and we’re done it for far too long.

Would definitely sign the first sentence. Bruno isn't becoming a better player because other players in the team are even worse. That is a downward spiral any day of the week.

The problem we have is he's not going to be easy to ship out. He's on the wrong side of 30, on a massive wage, and is early in to a new contract.. Add to that his form is atrocious, so who out there is dumb enough to sign him? I don't even think the Saudis are stupid enough to do it.

His passing is brilliant
To me, he's a player capable of great passes but not a great passer.

He is addicted to giving the ball back to the opposition. To be a great passer, your success % on executing passes should be high, which does not describe Bruno in the slightest. He's sloppy on basic passes, and he spams high volume of hollywood passes and occasionally one of them comes off.

Agree completely.

Spamming the Hollywood passes is not the issue for me. My problem is his sloppiness in basic passes. And his complete inability to keep the ball under pressure. Both yellow cards (if I'm not mistaken )came after losing the ball under pressure. Sigh.

It shows he has no brain, stop giving referees a decision to make. Our other players have somehow managed not to get themselves 3 red cards this season, it's really not that difficult.

This is one of the reasons our players are so unbelievably stupid, they themselves, our managers and our fans always blame the referee rather than focusing what is under our control, which is our players actions. If you don't pick up stupid first yellows in the first place, you can't then receive a 2nd yellow. If you don't commit stupid fouls when you're already on a yellow, the ref can't send you off. If you don't needlessly tackle someone knee height, the ref can't give you a harsh straight red.
