It's shocking, have to wonder whether the staff have pinpointed this and whether he keeps taking them due to seniority. The corners are so bizarre. Because if the ball is moved infield a bit and he’s taking a free kick from a wide area, the delivery is almost always perfect.
But yeah, there surely must be a better option. He seems to hit the first defender on 4 out of every 5 corners.
You want to continue moments United?

Mount was one of the best corner takers in the league at Chelsea but obviously rarely an option for us. Shaw is decent but also permacrocked. Maybe give Amad some more reps at them? Mainoo? fecking hell at this point I'd try Dalot maybe he's secretly brilliant crossing from a deadball even though his open play crossing is so shite.
It is bizarre, particularly since he’s otherwise a great striker of the ball. A bit like Scholes being shit at pens. The corners are so bizarre. Because if the ball is moved infield a bit and he’s taking a free kick from a wide area, the delivery is almost always perfect.

I believe it.Just been watching a Veo recording of my son’s U-16 team match from earlier today. Not a word of a lie, their corners were consistently hit better than anything from United these last few weeks.
Whatever else you can say about him, he comes across as a genuinely likeable guy - his post-match interview with Amad was class.
Not true. This was about Lisbon when Amorim took over them.I know i am waaaaaay late to the party regarding this but; i read today about his leaked messages in which he says how some players just don't care. Is that some BS or they are true?
You can also see how well-liked Amad is - from Bruno’s almost paternal-like affection to Kobbie’s fan-boy IG posts, you can tell that they’re all super-chuffed for our diminutive wizard!Yeah it was great. Love the way he names so many different players who contributed on the day. Proper captain’s interview.

Yeah, his corners aren't great but, outside of Shaw, who else do we have?
Yeah I’m getting the Juan Mata teddy bear vibes from him (which is a bit disturbing coming from a 49-year-old father of two, but still….) My mum watched the post-match interview and she was like, “Oh he’s lovely!”Yeah, there’s something about Amad which makes him seem incredibly likeable. I’m basing this on feck all evidence. For all I know he kicks kittens for fun. But I’ve decided he’s an incredibly chill and humble guy.
More like 90% of times. But that is still a very respectable conversion ratioWas good in the 1st, but dropped of a bit in the 2nd. Still scored the penalty which he does 100 percent of times. Onwards and upwards.
Yup, agreed. We have no worries about penalties when we get them.More like 90% of times. But that is still a very respectable conversion ratio
I thought he was really composed on the ball until that weird freekick he did in his own half and he lost his head a bit after he missed the chance. He’s seriously trying to change his game though - and I quite like him as the 8 - plus he worked his ass off as per.
Manchester United players don't get brownie points for trying. He's doing a bit better than the horror show at the start of the year. Like others have said he has toned down the brainless flicks and passes even though they're still present. His shooting is poor, technique and passing inconsistent, set pieces diabolical and his physicality is also lacking. He's still good enough to start for us most games but hopefully we end up moving on from him soon.I mean he's trying, isn't he? Working hard and trying to implement his instructions. Making some mistakes, sure but we can clearly see how hard he's trying to fit this new role. Plus the pen, the tackles, that run for the missed chance, some excellent linking. He's giving it everything.
I don’t think he’s a 10 in amorims system. His best performances under him have come deeper and I think that will be where he stays.
Well, speak for yourself, Desert Eagle. After watching us grind through the last 11 seasons, I 100% am giving players credit for working their asses off. Also for buying into the new managers ideas and trying to implement them. Ipswich was ground zero. I'll make my judgements from there.Manchester United players don't get brownie points for trying. Well hopefully the new manager manages to bring standards back to where a player working hard is considered normal and not worthy of special praise. I think it's clear that Bruno can only play as one of the midfield 2 or the attacking 2 in Amorims system. Probably fair to say Amad and Ugarte will probably fill two of those spots. That leaves Casemiro, Eriksen, Bruno, (Mount), Rashford, Garnacho, Mainoo to compete for the other two spots. Of course Amad, Antony and Garnacho can also play wing back but I don't think they would be ideal there. It'll be very interesting to see what Amorim ends up going with at the start of next season.Well, speak for yourself, Desert Eagle. He played there for 14 mins....This is the performance you get when you play Bruno as one of two centre midfielders. An extremely mixed bag where he does some basics poorly, has a lot of upside intangibles, comes up with some clutch moments and a lot of screaming at the TV stuff.
Bruno is probably and understandably Amorim's guy but we're going to need a bit more specificity and nuance when dealing with his role in the team long term.
Agreed. It's up to all of the above to show how effective they can be in their given role. Jury out on everyone at the moment but accepting what the role is and giving everything you can to make it work is the first step and Bruno I think is on the road at least.Well hopefully the new manager manages to bring standards back to where a player working hard is considered normal and not worthy of special praise. How about the past decade? Because I can't remember the last good corner taker we've had barring when Eriksen started and some Mata appearances.Just been watching a Veo recording of my son’s U-16 team match from earlier today.
