Brexited | the worst threads live the longest

Do you think there will be a Deal or No Deal?

The whole of UKIP is a joke.

UKIP remind me of jeremy kyle politics.

They want a "brexit government" what is this country turning to.

They rose because the devaluation of the pound meant that suddenly it became a good investment again. But they're jittery, and as soon as it starts to go down it will go down fast.

We'll see if that is the case. Even if the markets suffer a big drop, it won't herald the apocalypse. As you say, they're jittery - because they're uncertain. There'll be plenty of uncertainty between now and the end. Fasten your seat belts - it's going to be a bumpy ride.

You do, fine.

It also seems to be the case that the Treasury can quite brazenly mislead the electorate in its campaigning, but a win for Remain on those terms would have perfectly legitimate. The hypocrisy being displayed is remarkable, if not quite surprising.

alex salmond asking some decent questions to be fair to him.

But when the time came for Vote Leave to flesh out their plan in precise terms, the figure was £100m. Or do you deny that?

 I was still getting leaflets a couple days before the vote with exactly the same message on the bus.

Can't see anyone willingly triggering the exit and the longer it's left like that the likelihood of an exit becomes less IMO. I expect there to be some bargaining and we will stay.

Indeed, but the Facebook community (cnuts) will still have their way.

Bumpy road means job losses, the political class can afford it, a lot of their voters can't

When was this then Nick? Because I could swear this says £350m. But I'm more than willing to bow to you superior wisdom on how it is actually made very clear that the figure is £100m.

So I'm not fully up to date as I've been at work but hasn't Cameron effectively neutralised Brexit or am I getting the wrong end of the stick?

Got any proof of this?

If you go on the Vote Leave website their bloody thank you message to those that voted for it has a background image of a pledge of £50 million a day to the NHS.

But there are only 2 days in a week under Brexit - it used to be the 3 day week back in the good old days, now it's the 2 day week

Another one for Nick if he fancies it:

Note that this was posted on the day of the vote.

Cameron is still Prime Minister. He is staying on until the new one steps in; during the meantime, it should be his job to at least try to show a fecking interest in all of this. Boris and his bunch are utter bastards as well for not thinking this out and not coming up with any sort of plan, too, of course, but if Cameron isn't interested in at least trying to fix this mess then he should be out on his arse right at this very moment. What a bunch of utterly incompetent shitebags. I genuinely think if you featured this in a series of The Thick of It the show would've been cancelled for jumping the gun.

I am no Cameron fan. We wouldn't be in this cesspit if we werent for him. However you cant blame him for not ending his career being remembered as the one who pushed Britain's self destruction button. Boris campaigned for the leave campaign let him take the flak

 Paul Nuttall is such a monumental cockend.

To say there is no mandate for a new Scottish referendum is absolute bollocks.

If he doesn't want to deal with this at all then he shouldn't be Prime Minister right now. Boris will deal with it; Cameron has a duty to at least try until then.

I want to move to Scotland as a result of this in the short-term.

The SNP > every UK politician right now.

How can people take UKIP seriously?

The English telling what Scotland and its people should do. Very ironic after their taking back control rhetoric.

I posted this in the original EU Ref thread on June 16th
Oh look, another one from exactly one week later.

Oh and another fancy video with the £350m figure.

Oh and this one even says it in the tweet AND the graphic in case you miss one or the other.

So that is the £350m figure used 3 times on the same day and in the space of 9 hours.

I have no fecking idea. SNP are head and shoulders above the rest of this shower at the moment.

I agree. He called the referendum and it's his responsibility to deal with its consequences - not to wash his hands and walk away because he didn't get the outcome he wanted. He has a duty to 'the great country he loves' to look after its interests in a situation of his creation, not to throw a tantrum like a disappointed child.

And yet, despite the 5 second mention the £100 million figure got in a video posted at 5 to 10 at night on the twitter page of vote leave, it didn't once get put on the side of a bus, or used as the header for the twitter page the aforementioned video was posted on. It's almost like they didn't really want people to notice that figure too much, and instead wanted them to believe the NHS would be getting £350 million a week.

I'd vote for Sturgeon today, everyone else has lost credibility sadly.

I like Sturgeon to an extent and she's probably a better statesperson than Salmond, but Salmond is so much fun.
