Anyone else seriously considering leaving the UK if a hard right Tory brexit comes in? It’ll be disastrous & move is more towards American style of regulations with less workers rights (hours, holiday leave) Will lead to NHS going eventually (and I work in that sector)

I feel like common sense would be we’ll return one day to the EU but that could be 10-15 years away.

The Tories & hard right seem to have won & the polls are Torys winking the next election which I can’t get my head around...
I have thought about it quite a bit these last few months; I would do it too if wasn't for family members that need us in the UK.

This is exactly how a discussion on Nazi Germany started.
Thanks for your response, and thank you for not aligning yourself with these small minded idiots who's only modus operandi is to get away with insulting as many people who disagree with their point of view as they can get away with.

You are an obnoxious poster and all your posts are rubbish.
Oh stop you're making me blush.

Yes with heavy borrowing which inevitably led to war with the workers convenient for cannon fodder and building the war machine.

Anyway, one would hope lessons have been learned. No way.

I don't seriously think we're heading for concentration camps but we are clearly seeing the beginnings of repeating other aspects of the rise of the far right in the 1920s and 1930s.

No but it's a similar mechanism that's being used and we now know how gullible people can be.

Bonus point from this discussion it's got @Sweet Square energised.:smirk:

Would you move to the EU, or further afield? After Brexit it'll be far more complicated for Brits to get residency in a European country, if they've not already applied for it. I know what you mean about having family ties, we wouldn't have been able to do this when oates's mum was still alive. She voted remain as it happens, she loved travelling and had lived in other countries.

Can we please decide to remain or leave? I'm past caring what happens can we just decide on something?

Pre Brexit, we would have probably ended up in France (in later years), which my wife loves. But since Brexit, we have wondered about Canada.

People who voted for this and not May's deal should be crucified. Would have saved atleast 5-6 months of this malarkey

This is annoying me too, I've submitted for permanent residency here in Canada but if it isn't through in time when my work permit runs out then I will need to return home. My girlfriend and I would rather have gone to another EU country than go back to the UK but if Brexit goes through before that then I'm hoping the 'get brown people out' brigade won't have taken away all of my choices.
