Can we stop experimenting him at the #10? In fact let’s stop putting in the side all together. Ship him out in Jan along with Rashford.

Close to making 100 appearances for us. I could tell he was useless after about 10 games. He's probably the only forward player I've ever watched for us that I have zero expectations for when he gets the ball in a promising position.

How did we end up with the worst player Brazil has ever produced. I can live with him being slow & unskilled but the fact that when he gets to start a game for the first time in ages & in the first 15 minutes he is shrugged off the ball 5 times is just unpardonable. One of our worst signings ever. Hate ETH so much

There's nothing there. No particular talents, he just tries hard and is very strong mentally. He got lucky with the transfer of a lifetime that brought him here, because i think even Ajax would've eventually gotten rid of him. He was essentially a cheap punt they took from Sao Paulo in Brazil that we swooped in and paid superstar money for. Big, big mistake. We won't be getting rid of him anytime soon unless we take the hit and pay off his contract. He and his agent know they've struck gold with his inflated contract as well so they probably won't be in a hurry to leave anytime soon.

Surely there is a young hungry player coming through that can play?

This guy is a nothing player, he doesn't make runs when he needs, then he gets on top of Maz instead of creating space. Then maz needs to play the short ball and Antony is then in line with the linesman.

He was everywhere but where he needed to be. When I say this, I am not taking the piss, but play Evans RW would have a better outcome.

Put him out on loan, don't care where, but as far away from Manchester as possible. Wrexham wouldn't take this fella.

Might've been due to instruction but he was playing like a winger and looked uncomfortable coming in centrally. Few nice balls out to Dalot and Bruno tbf, but he should only play as a wingback going forward.

He is, pound per pound, the worst signing in the history of the Club. There is nothing in him. Can't pass, can't head, can't drible, can't overlap, can't finish, can't predict the game.

He might be a good person, and a nice teammate, however, he is not a good footballer.

I was actually hopeful for him starting this game but that was a woeful performance.

Has to be running out of chances and looks like we will just take a huge loss on him

Im glad that my guess he will be a good RWB choice for Amorim is coming to fruition.

However, i also think he could improve playing in the RAM position because he will be trying to take on players less from far outwide.

Playing more centrally will hopefully allow him to make quick, short yet precise dribbles on to his left foot before he can shoot himself or pass to the striker. It will almost be like trying to take on a LCB rather than always the opposition LB.

Looking forward to his performance if he gets to play Amad's role.
I am assuming that you posted this before the match. Your optimism is quite sad, as Antony is the worst player that I can remember in the premier league.

My biggest gripe with him, and there is plenty, is that he only has one type of shot in his locker. That lame ass attempt to curl the ball, no matter the distance. Everyone can see what’s coming and he either completely misses the mark or it has no pace on it when on target.

Awful attacking player. Give me James over him every day of the week.

What a waste of money. Can’t stand seeing him in a Utd shirt.

Hopefully Amorim has now seen enough.

We should keep giving him easy opportunities at RWB so he can look half decent in order to sell him for 20-30m. Doubt he’ll play much once we get back to playing more or less a game a week.

The worst part is that no one is going to buy him. Hopefully, a loan somewhere in the winter with a loan fee and wage coverage.

He genuinely looked out of place on the pitch. Spurs were very aggressive and pressed fantastically in the first half. The majority of our players handled that side pretty well but jesus the amount of times Antony would be brushed aside or lose the ball was frustrating. Just looked like he didn't belong at United but also that he didn't belong in this league. As others have mentioned its going to be tough to get a buyer for him. He is not worth that much. We probably need around 30 million to break even from an amortisation perspective which will be tough.

Hopefully ETH gets a job soon and will take him off our hands.

Is this the worst signing in our club history? Most definitely.

I don't know what happened to this guy I mean he looked promising- scored that city goal and I was so happy that we finally got our man for the RW but then he fell off fast. Maybe the hype or too much media attention I don't know.

Safe to say that his attitude is not right for a top club and we really need to move him on ASAP.

This should tell Amorim that Antony's place for us this season is as backup RWB. He is not a 10. But he has done decently as a sub on the RWB position.

The ceiling use case fpr him in this squad is backup wing back to kill time. He's not making any impact.

No more Antony #10, please. I don't know what the feck was Amorim thinking putting him there.

I still think he should get a run as a wing back. One last chance to do something with him.

and there were people who defended him  He is obviously the worst transfer in recent EPL history
