You and me both!I may be going to bed hungry tonight, but still Martial FC babe!
This.He wasn’t great, but the issue is he completely carries our attack.
If Martial isn’t on form none of the other forwards can be relied upon. It’s hilarious how little goal threat we carry.
You and me both!
No eating good tonight
Shows how warm ups mean nothing. He was dreadful, like the rest of the team.
He most likely was, but I don't think it would have changed much. If everyone else on the team plays poorly, he's not (yet) a player that can drag the team to a win consistently.
Wan-Bissaka is not messing around this season.Had one good shot today but overall him and Young got very little change out Wan-Bissaka.
Nothing worked out for him today but he kept tying. Good on Jose to keep playing him inspite of that. Would've busted his confidence.
Wan-Bissaka is not messing around this season.
Ashley Young killed any sort of impetus we had on the left. Players being on the same wavelength is key to any kind of football and it kept breaking down today on that side. we didn't have a right wing as usual so it made it even worseThere's also the fact that Luke Shaw was not there. Without Shaw-Martial-Pogba, there's no stringing together dangerous pass in the opponent's half. Luke Shaw is key to getting more out of Martial.
It's not often some kind of excuse isn't being made for Martial's shite performances. It's the LB, it's the system, he's a striker, everyone else was bad so... It's never down to himself. What the feck was wrong with him today? He had the attitude of a prepubescent teenager filled with angst, but there was no one to blame but himself for his shit show today. A mature performance from him today could have given us the goal we needed, yet he showed his true colors today. We can’t count on him when he displays this side of himself.
Did people actually think Lukaku was gonna be benched? That's not happening.This.
Thought he had the beginnings of a little understanding between himself and Sanchez. Don't know why we didn't continue with Martial and Sanchez. Why bring Lukaku back who changes the whole dynamic?
He was as bad as the rest. Doesn’t help him or anybody else sticking Lukaku up top again. Young doesn’t pose a threat on the outside so, Martial had two on him the whole game. Still, he lost possession too easy, especially in the first half. Even managed to dribble himself a couple of times, which was weird to see from him.
Calm down mate. It’s just an observation. I desperately want us to win games, so I’m speculating as to why our game changer this season was so bad. Young didn’t run past him into space once, it’s a very basic and important move from a fullback to create space. It’s just weird. If it makes you feel any better you can try only focusing on the first sentence of my post.Right so just say he was shit then don’t bring young or Lukaku into it they have nothing to do with his own lack of movement, poor passing or failed attempts at dribbling. I
