We need attacking players. As we're not getting AG, Belotti would replace Zlatan & Morata would replace AG.
We don't need names for the sake of it. How do you fit two out and out number 9's in one team? And still manage to get Rashford and Martial minutes? We need attacking players. As we're not getting AG, Belotti would replace Zlatan & Morata would replace AG.
With his fabulous record of scored goals, you see him as a poacher? Well…Morata is that guy for me.

4-4-2.We don't need names for the sake of it. How do you fit two out and out number 9's in one team? And still manage to get Rashford and Martial minutes?
Who are we signing more then, besides Morata? Or are you expecting that, after a season almost ruined by our last of finishing, we'll lose both Zlatan and Rooney and still just get one more striker? Mourinho would have to be mad for that. Can't see us signing both, think it's just keeping a back up option alive in case Morata falls through

We aren't? Mourinho mentioned that chance a few times. And haven't you noticed we played a lot with two forwards ahead, one playing as secondary-striker, immediately after Zlatan's injury, because Rashford can't play by himself all alone?Rooney hasn't been a striker for years. We're going to play a one striker system so there's no chance of us signing two big money strikers. Nor should we.
Or 3-5-2, which fits the Lindelof signing perfectly since he can roam up with the ball from defence and have Smalling/Bailly or Rojo/Bailly besides him in defence.4-4-2.

I don't think we will move in that direction. Most of the games people here think we did that, we actually were playing a very defensive 4-4-2.Or 3-5-2, which fits the Lindelof signing perfectly since he can roam up with the ball from defence and have Smalling/Bailly or Rojo/Bailly besides him in defence.
By that notion, Rashford isn't a striker either. And Lingard and Rooney played some games as secondary-strikers. We might play some games at home with two forwards, why not? There's a huge difference to playing with an attacking midfielder and playing with two strikers. It's not the same thing. We're not going to play with two strikers.

It says Milan bid £39m and that got rejected. Torino apparently want around £56.5m for him.
A switch? Although we also played a lot in 4-3-3, and some games in 4-4-2, that was our main template last season, and Mourinho kind of gave up on that because of our lack of finishing, injuries and depleted squad players in the end of the season. The Perisic move may signify a switch to 4-2-3-1 formation. Because I can't see Perisic being part of just a front 3 and our midfielders are not exactly loaded with goals.
I think maybe...........Herrera........Pogba..................
......Mkhitaryan................Belotti..............Perisic.....
..........................................Morata............................

Yep. I think it's right though. At least to have the option going forward. It's not like Rooney is ready to explode.A switch? We always had four strikers, top strikers. Not one and three mix and matches.Felt we were short of options up there far too often last season. I'd rather have too much firepower than not enough. Competition for places is only a good thing.
Don't think another one is overkill myself at all.
No. But what clubs say in press briefings isn't always true.I could have sworn I read they would even reject 100m or did I imagine that?

So, according to you what formation did we play Arsenal away (Rooney and Martial upfront), Chelsea away (Mkhitaryan and Rashford) and then at home (Lingard and Rashford). These were difficult, more defensive games and without Zlatan, so what do you expect coming next season when playing lower table teams at OT? I admit we can insist on 4-2-3-1 with a forward on the left (Rashford or Martial) and a striker upfront, but neither Rashford nor Martial can be used like that upfront and then we would only have Morata. We don't play a two striker formation; playing Rashford on the left wing doesn't suddenly mean that we are playing a two striker system it just means that we're playing an additional striker out of position.
Which we would also be doing if we tried to get Belotti and Morata into a one striker system, as none of them are attacking midfielders...

Good goal, good run. He will give us goals no matter what. I hope we sign him as well.
That was when we played a 4-4-2 though, which we don't now. Two strikers is plenty for our system; Morata as the main one with Rashford covering.
That was 4-3-3 with Rooney in midfield. So, according to you what formation did we play Arsenal away (Rooney and Martial upfront), Chelsea away (Mkhitaryan and Rashford) and then at home (Lingard and Rashford).
Excellent response.Did you watch United last season or did you just concentrate on watching Welbeck?
Because we are after two goalscorers?
