Clown of a keeper who produces a great game every now and then to keep his place in the team.

He should have collected or cleared the cross for the 2nd goal and the less said about the 3rd the better.
 
How many mistakes that's has resulted in goals in 18months? 20?

Up there with the worst goalkeepers ever in the PL. Some of ETH's signings were crazy

Listen to Rio Ferdinand's interviews when talking about VDS he didn't speak on Edwins ability but the psychological confidence you get as a defender knowing that there is a highly capable individual behind you between the sticks. And how that same confidence then runs throughout the team.

The only thing Onana is giving the players is anxiety, I don't care how modern, modern football becomes, a goalkeeper should as a priority be judged off their ability to restrict the opposition from scoring. All the nuances like playing out the back and distribution are seconded priorities.

If INEOS have any ambition to not make themselves look clueless like they did with Ashworth and sack yet another manager in place of their own incompetence they put him up for sale in the summer.

Yeah with him its a gamble. Sometimes he pulls off "De Gea" saves out of nowhere. Other times his speed gets reduced by 50% for no reason and he lets in goals that would have been saved by a sunday league keeper.
 
He should be ahead of Antony, Rashford and others in the "get rid of as quickly as possible" list. He's calamitous.

Good assessment. Plans go out the window often when you have someone erratic like Onana in goal most of time. I actually like him but it's time a strong reinforcement is brought in to that department for competition.
 
The mistakes are racking up now, conceding that 3rd goal killed us today. Also his kicking has been awful this season

I'll still stick by the decision to move on from De Gea however this guy isn't it.
 
Clown. Not the funny, happy kind. More like a sad with an ominous vibe that makes everyone uneasy.
 
I wonder if we’ll all be called idiots and don’t know anything about goalies. Or maybe someone will say DDG made a similar mistake once.

Anyone who watched his first season knows this guy is not cut out for being our No.1. Even when he plays well you know he’ll cost us points again at some point.

He’s also pretty shit with his feet so I don’t see the point of him.

Gaslighting around this guy is crazy. Like we didn't witness the likes of De Gea, Phil jones and others who look like juggernauts one week and drop clangers the next.
 
I want to say it's a shocker, but it's actually not. He has cost us games before. He cost us an entire CL campaign even. You can't have a keeper that is this unreliable. Yes, it's harsh because players makes mistakes all the time but keeper mistakes leads to goals and you just can't have that. The moment the financial opportunity arises, we need to get a reliable keeper.

I used to get annoyed over people like this but you just have to accept that there’s people out there who’d defend literally anyone if they wear a United jersey, I just scroll by the likes of it now and roll my eyes, yeah there’s players who divide opinion and maybe both sides can be right (like Bruno) who I personally don’t think is good enough, but the likes of Onana you really just have to laugh,
 
That compilation of his feck ups before we signed him really should have rang alarm bells at this club. Instead we bent over backwards for ETH to make yet another terrible signing.

Literally anyone who had seen him at Ajax could have called this a mile off, was genuinely fuming the day we signed him,
 
Onana, Antony and Mount are Ten Hag's holy trinity.

And there are another six of signings waiting in the wings.

Lost my patience when he didn't come out for the cross. The less I say about their third goal the better.

We are going nowhere if we start next season with him in goal. Another one of Ten Hags god awful signings.

So true. His basic errors today were no surprise at all and that’s just sad.
 
Some of these errors looks like they're done on purpose. He's an absolute clown.
 
He's like Barthez except without the mitigation of being good most of the time.
 
He makes some wonder saves ffrom time to time but that's not enough to keep him. Thought we could go with him for another season but should sell in summer. 1/10 performance. 2nd goal is him not coming to collect the ball and 3rd is him spilling it, so 2 classic Onana mistakes that we've been frustrated with.

Contract until 2028, decent keeper, we could get decent fee. And hope there's a good enough GK for reasonable price.

Antony signing obvious expensive mistake for a long time now. Onana wasn't as expensive but not what we needed so another wrong signing from ten Hag. We'll see with Mount and Hojlund, still too early for me.
 
I am absolutely furious with Ten Hag right now.

How he managed to lumber us and go backwards from where we were under Solskjaer and give us these absolute -pretenders-, and how our upper management and scouting team ever thought that Onana would be the answer is beyond me.

Weak, error prone, no leadership, and every shot he does somehow stop just makes more danger. He's been a disaster almost as bad as Antony, given that we let Kovar go, and Henderson, and de Gea, all of which far, far better keepers.
