DDG was 19/20 at the time? A younger player who was clearly still growing (literally and figuratively) deserves some patience. The 3rd most expensive keeper of all time who is 27, and been at the club nearly 2 years (and getting worse) cannot expect the same patience.

I thought, he had a big share of todays result. The saves in 2nd half were good, not spectacular maybe but good enough. I really hope, we'll soon see more focus on making use of his on the ball ability because it is supposed his biggest plus. Without it, he is a bit too average for my liking even though I consider other spots in the team to be more urgent for sure.

Fair play, he actually saved shots like a regular goalkeeper, and it was his opposite number that let in a shocker.

His distribution is woeful though.

So apart from the terrible clearance at the end and his sh&t kicking, he was quite good. Not sure that’s what you want from your number one though
