As we can see in hindsight now, the real damage started from sacking Ole. The strategy was abruptly abandoned by the clowns appointed, Murtough and ETH. The squad was disassembled and replaced by poor signings on huge transfer fees.Highlights just how poor the overall transfer strategy has been at times. We knew the goal was to move De Gea on, and ended up signing 2 absolutely poor keepers. None of this is down to Onana and Bayendir cracking under the pressure of playing for Man United. Their mistake ridden past performances were well document and we still went for both of them.
Just seen a stat, errors leading to goals and he has made 10 in 2 seasons while De Gea made 17 in 10 seasons.
Ok. Horrendous stat thatSaw it on twitter.
Butland isn't solid. He's a clown. Constantly chucking goals in for RangersIf you consider all the other positions where we need new players asap, it's for real a worst case scenario that our GK situation is like it is. Not convinced with Bayindir either.
Maybe we should try to sign a solid, quite cheap keeper like Butland again. But I doubt it.
PL website has Onana at 4.
I've defended him because I didn't think he was as bad as people were making out a lot of the time. But that was pretty much it for me, just ridiculous, there's no danger to be had and he created a problem out of nowhere.
Another for the exit door.
Forget the third, nothing to be said.
More worrying how De Gea esque he was for their second goal, watched the ball come all the way across his 6 yard box glued to his line
The other 6 probably came in the Champions League!
He's nowhere near as good as Barthez wasIm getting Barthez vibes.
Surely Altay will be better if he plays as much as Onana has?
A competent keeper would have swallowed that crossForget the third, nothing to be said.

Do we actually know that though? He's never been given a chance especially under the cnut last year.Problem is that he's shit too.
The recruitment over the ten Hag era in particular has been diabolical.
He's not a bad keeper, he's just too wildly inconsistent for a serious team. These errors come in big games too like the CL and FA Cup final. If you ignore red flags they will come when you least need them. Don't know if true but I read even Karius was having a great season before the CL final. It's also the same thing De Gea got cooked for and he was rightly binned. If anything the criticism is just people being unbiased.Always 1 poor game away from being labelled the worst keeper in history by the caf.

The reality is that he is an average Premier League keeper with a mistake in him. We should be scouting for his successor. But there more pressing concerns in the squad - starting with wing-backs.
I have defended him as he wasn't making these mistakes at Inter, but this is the final nail. I don't blame solely him for today's defeat, but his passiveness on the second goal cross, and the mistake for the third goal. Dear me. Lets see what Bayandir is made of.
