Yes, he should. If the players are coming under scrutiny for coming 6th then shouldn't the manager come under the same scrutiny. He won us two trophies so escapes judgement. However the players also won us two trophies yet get hammered.

I know he is being scrutinised, but the fact we won trophies is what is being given for his job being safe, yet the players are not given the same security. If they are getting blamed for us being 6th, so should he. If he gets praise for winning trophies, so should they.
13:16Is his extension triggered?
They are not exactly first team players though are they ? And you can't exactly offer every player a new contract when they have 2 years to go on their contract. For the likes of De Gea, Pogba, sure, it makes sense. But for others it makes more sense to see how they are performing, what the managers plans for them are etc.am a bit confused as to why we're letting so many first team players run down their contracts - even if it has an option to extend. In one sense it puts a lot of power in the players hands, where they can ask for way more money than they're worth or they'll leave on a free. But also it makes a player feel like the club actually don't want the player otherwise they'd have offered new terms with 2 years to go etc, not with 6 months to go and an option for a further year.
Perhaps over thinking this if you look at how often american sports players leave on a free / messi has 6 months to go etc but I'd be gutted if we let this happen to Pogba / Rashford etc after we're building a team around them
Well he isn't in a starting XI?My point regards finishing 6th (admittedly slightly tongue in cheek), was that there’s no point dwelling on who was the best last season if all we could end up was 6th. He was good, not great. He didn’t carry the team to win huge things.
Obviously I get DDG, Pogba, Zlatan etc finished 6th too, but it wasn’t their best, and they’re kicking on....it seemed it was Herrera’s peak.
Simple speaking, would the likes of Barca, RMad, Bayern, City etc be clamouring for him for their starting XI? I think not....
I reckon about 80% of his passes must be backwards. And at least half of them to the person that passed half a second earlier.

Sure. Sure.Probably the worst footballer to play football since Ali Dia.
You just feel and know Jose won't.Another pointless performance. Lets give Pereira a chance next season
I'm so disappointed by him this season. Love the guy but he's a shadow of the player he was last season.
Or I don't know Pereira will want to leave despite Jose wanting him to stay. You just feel and know Jose won't.
His first reaction in receiving a ball is to give a pass that contributes nothing to the game. A small side pass, or a back pass to a defender and there is no one around him. It is like he has something against turning and looking for a forward pass if he is not already looking forward. The worse part is when he is going forward but instead of looking to pass forward, he turns around and pass it to Smalling who then passes it to keeper.Very poor tonight, he doesn't offer enough on the ball these days.

Some always held that opinion of Herrera. He just doesn't excel in any area. He works hard but he's not really particularly good at anything. It is amazing how quickly you guys turned on Herrera.
