Starting to think hes better as a wingback. Gets the ball more and in more space to run with it

He's better at wingback but it might not be specifically because of him, but because Maz is terrible at wingback. Doesn't make the right runs to create space and doesn't maintain width. As of right now, I'd keep Maz at RCB and Amad at RWB. Both will be better for it.

If we have to play Amad at #10, Dalot is the least worst option for RCB (creates space, makes runs, will actually cross when he's on his right foot vs the thing he does on the left)

Quite simple, if our only attacking danger comes from Diallo, managers are going to nullify him and be happy we are forced to attack down the other wing. It's not Diallos fault, he's not Messi by any standard, he's just let down by the rest of the quality in the side.

And we have lost 3 since, which include a 0-3 defeat at home to Bournemouth and a 2-0 defeat at a team in the relegation mix.
We’ve only beat Everton with him playing as a wing back. What’s your point?

Amad as a 10 is the least of our problems.

When did I say he is a problem?

I said, we need to play him a RWB as playing both Maz and Dalot as WB's makes us more defensive. We lose an attacking player from the XI and those two hardly have any attacking output.

Way to ruin a good thing by playing him as a #10.
Phrase your point a bit better then if that’s what you meant. You’ve said we’re ruining a good thing by playing him as a 10.

Did you come into the thread looking to jump on posts? Jesus Christ!

Yes, we looked like we were building some kind of decent attacking unit with Amad playing almost as a RW at RWB. Now we have ruined it by playing two defensive players at both wingback positions by moving him at #10. Better?

Yes

One of the few shining lights of this season, but a real stretch to rely on him as our main attacking threat

I think you got it wrong @Valencia Shin Crosses

We look better with Amad in the wing back role in my opinion.

Maybe, but I also think teams are clearly adjusting the defense to his side of the pitch and ensuring he doesn’t get many 1v1s and instead daring Dalot/Bruno to do something on the opposite side because they know neither are going to be a threat in space to take on a defender.

Maz has also been disappointing in that WB role behind him.

Would like to see either Antony/Garnacho get a spot in one of the two WB roles to give us some sort of attacking support. We look completely toothless right now.

Not good enough today. He needs to be consistent in this high level.

He does not have the first yard pace and is extremely weak. The biggest issue for me is his decision making is poor. It doesn’t help that Garnacho also has low IQ.

He doesn’t look as good in the 10 position in this formation.

As a 10, Amad needs to be in a side that understands patterns, and that can play technical balls into the right spaces. That’s why he doesn’t shine as much in the AM role. But as a RWB, he gets more room to operate.

I think his future is at attacking mid, potentially when we have the right players around him. But for now let’s keep him at RWB.
