Chances are he probably isn’t United calibre, but at the same time he has a right to be annoyed at the situation. Was denied a loan in January by all accords and has seen the likes of Forson (who looks like a competition winner) get minutes ahead of him.

Ten Hag can feck right off for this one my god.

"Hey we need to see you progress in the the Championship this year"

*Goes and wins YPOTY with Sunderland becoming a fan favorite showing huge potential*

*Is then blocked from a loan this January after returning from injury and hardly getting a sniff*

*Stays with the club and is given a total of 50 minutes the entire season before getting pissed and leaving in the summer. Meanwhile Antony and FORSON are given any available minutes while contributing nothing*

Just feck right off.

I dont actually see the hype with Diallo to be fair. He has maturity issued and I don't see him as being near ready for our XI.

I agree with Forson not needing to start over him but Antony is still a lot better in terms of work rate and positional awareness.

I think the IG move is a bit petty and doesn't really achieve anything but I can see his frustration. Keeping players who are desperate to play and not giving them any meaningful minutes just isn't a smart move thought will continue to backfire.

Frustration or not, I've not been impressed with him so far, which is a shame as he has talent and I thought that he would come back and stake a claim for a place. However, in the albeit short minutes he's had he hasn't done enough and his reactions on social media have put me off. Garnacho had to bide his time, same with Mainoo, you see Kambwala biding his time as well. Putting their heads down, making the most of their minutes and then getting rewarded for it. EtH has shown if a youth player is talented enough and shows the right attitude they will get plenty of opportunities. The fact Amad is reacting this way is enough for me to be happy to sell him.

Yay another player who loves using social media. I guess he’s been taking notes from Rashford and Sancho.

He's 21 years old. He's a kid. If we're all called to account for every childish gesture we made at 21 we'd all probably be pretty embarrassed.

Kid has a right to be upset. Don't deny him the chance to go out on loan and then deny him the chance to play.

Not sure where you get maturity issues from. And quite frankly give me the young attacker that actually contributes to the danger of an attack and overall team play over a “defensive winger”.

Either way, giving him 50 minutes total after blocking him from being loaned out is criminal and indefensible.

I remember his social media post disrespecting a player of the month winner in the championship, being bitter about missing out. That pretty much stuck with me regarding maturity. It wouldn't surprise me if he was ill disciplined, there is normally a reason players aren't given a chance and yeah manager preference is one, but there's often an underbelly of other bits.

For example when Diallo came on recently for us, Bruno was shouting at him quite a lot for not getting into defensive shape. It was mentioned on the Talk of the devil's podcast.

I dont think Diallo has the maturity to position himself well either out of being too raw or being too arrogant to do so.

Another nobody who thinks he’s better than he is, never shown anything to suggest he’s good enough just let him leave and go have an average career in Spain or something Like januzaj.

I’m disappointed it’s ending like this as I had huge hopes for him after the Sunderland loan. But I think he’s shown enough petulance and immaturity to suggest the fault is at least partly his.

If he was that good in training, then he would have forced his way into the team.

No time for players who feel the need to make drastic moves on social media. Bye...

Didn't he get a bad injury which is why he's only just back? It's not like he's just been sat behind Antony all season hoping to get on, he missed 22 games and then was working up his fitness.

Adios little boy. Regardless of lack of playing time - no player is or should be promised playing time, it has to be earnt. ETH, for all his shortcomings, he does give players chances and I guess Diallo doesn't put in on the training ground what ETH wants. He seems to have judged other players training contribution ok so far. Not a fan of Diallo so won't be disappointed to see him shipped out - doubt we will get much for him though.

It was one kind of stupid tweet. One. It does not mean that he is an immature person beoynd the possibilty of learning from his mistakes.
And he has about 50 minutes on the pitch this season, i think we could try to cut him some slack. He has done ok in the short time he had.

He's been woefully mismanaged. I'd be fuming as well if I was getting no opportunities and Antony was coming on ahead of me.

If you are not going to play a 21 year old, then loan them out.

They need games, and under 23s is simply not enough for development

Ten hag deserves criticism here, because he refused ot let him go on loan, then put forson ahead of him in the squad.

No excuses for it, its simply bad management.

Pretty funny that the one time the club hierarchy tried to unearth a hidden gem rather than chasing the Hollywood signing and still made an absolute balls of it.

It's a shame how limited his opportunities have been. You would hope his future could be reviewed in the summer if we move on from Ten Hag but you couldn't begrudge Amad a permanent move if he feels he's been messed around too long.

Huge huge shame, but the writing was on the wall for a while.

Hopefully for his sake he chooses his next move correctly.

Can't help but take his side in this and I'm usually only too happy to tell stroppy players to piss off.

He did all he could to impress at Sunderland. He comes back to United and sees Sancho get exiled, Antony miss time due to allegations, Rashford playing putrid football and he gets absolutely no chance to play football with all of this.

People keep saying "He's not good enough." He's not even getting the fecking chance to show it.

It's possible to empathise with Amad for being frustrated at his lack of playing time while at the same time be disappointed at the way he's unnecessarily shown that publicly with the social media stunt.

I'm not sure about the Ivory Coast situation. Given his injury and lack of top flight experience, was he definitely going to be named in the Ivory Coast squad for the African Nations? If he was, then given we allowed more senior and important players like Onana (eventually) and Amrabat to go, then I'm surprised if we 'refused' to allow Amad to play at the African Nations.

Though I could see a similar situation to Hannibal, where he seemingly opted out of it in order to try and aid club games (in his case with a loan). Maybe Amad was prepared not to go in order to try to establish himself here, and is annoyed that he's subsequently not got many minutes? But I'd be surprised if we put our foot down and point blank refused to let him go, or if we lied and promised him starts if he stayed (and then didn't deliver them).

All in all, it seems it's going to be a disappointing end to his disappointing time here. There's a player in there - what level I'm not sure. It would have been nice to have more of an idea by having seen him get more minutes. Same as Hannibal for me. Though we don't know the full reasons why neither have got those opportunities - is it just that the manager didn't rate / trust them enough (probably physically or tactically more than technically)? Or that they didn't show enough in training? No one knows, so wrong to categorically put the blame on what side or another. But it's a shame it seems to be ending this way.

You're putting a lot of faith in Ten Hag's judgement and decision making.
Not necessarily. The fact is that there are four or five people with lots of coaching badges watching him, out-of-form-Antony and Omari Forson face up in training most days of the year. If not one of them stakes a claim for Amad to get minutes ahead of either of them, you must imagine he can’t have impressed any of them much.
