Alexis Sanchez | Staying at Arsenal after City deal falls apart

If City gets Alexis, then they will have 2 strikers who can get 20 plus goals each. Not a very good news for United fans.

Has the picture of him in a city shirt in front of a green screen been proven fake yet?

If City sign Alexis then the other 20 goal a season striker is benched, Pep loves Jesus so he won't be dropping him

I am 100% certain that Arsene Wenger will find a bid of Ashley Young + £55m highly irresistible.

Wenger needs a direct replacement for Ox. Ashley Young fits the bill incredibly. What is Woodward doing?
Ffs, have you considered the possibility that Sanchez prefers Pep or maybe he doesn't fancy Jose? It's not FM where you can get any player you like.

I have no idea how City can sustain such a big squad and keep everyone happy with game time.

Sanchez - Jesus
Silva
Mendy - Fernandinho - De Bruyne - Walker
Otamendi - Stones - Kompany
Ederson

The likes of Bernardo Silva, Aguero, Sterling, Danilo, Yaya, Gundogan on the bench. They'll not be happy.

Sane as well

Reckon one of those defenders wont play, Sanchez will be on the left with Sterling on the right in a 4231. No place for all the above though, inc Sane.

I'm not in the least bit bothered if this happens, but it will be absolutely hilarious if it doesn't.

My money is on Arsenal cocking up Lemar in but still selling Alexis at the death. There's absolutely no way they should keep him, or is there?

Also the possibility he sees Sanchez as a player that blocks playing time for both Martial and Rashford on the left and as an ST and doesn't provide a different type of option like Perisic would out wide. I'd honestly prefer Mahrez to Sanchez, not because I think he's a better individual player, but because I think he would add more to the team collectively.

Does not matter who ever is benched, the fact is that they are both serial goal scorers and PL proven players. United has only one serial goal scorer in Lukaku, if he hits a bad patch, it will be like last season again. Rashford and Martial aren't as prolific as Alexis. Plus Sanchez has a lot of assists in his game, surely that will help, along with Silva and De Bryune also providing chances. Point is City are spoilt for quality and quantity going forward, better than United at the moment.

And we're much better in defence, midfield and in general the more balanced squad

They'll probably go four at the back.

Any of the players in any order. Danilo cover for both LB and RB.

Sanchez would probably compete with Martial/Rashford, but disagree with this statement. Sanchez can turn games around, Mahrez is just a very good technical player but mentally they are not the same level.

That should be it. All else being equal, looks super strong on paper, especially on the attack with 7 offensive players from Fullbacks to AM to Wings to Center forward.

On paper, looks like a CL contender (and of course PL), same level with the current CL big 4 of Barca/Real/Juv/Bayern.

Team/squad is super strong. It's all down to other factors like manager/tactic/system/formation/team chemistry/etc.

I think he could be the kingmaker for City this season, IMO they were already the favourites but they'll walk the league now.

This won't happen. Arsenal can't let him go without a replacement.

That's what the giant bags of cash are for

Does anyone else find it ridiculous that huge complex business transactions like this and Lemar are being rushed through in a panic on the last possible day?

1st XI midfield does not look defensive enough, and strong fast team like ours should mow through it. Likewise, the defense is 2 injuries away from a crisis.

It's not a bad problem to have. Rather this than having deadwood for depth.

Sky Sports saying Arsenal have bidded £92m on Lemar and Monaco are apparently softening on selling him.

If Monaco let him go, then i can see the Alexis deal going through quickly

This could happen. If they phase out Aguero because Alexis, this move doesn't really make them so much stronger.
