Agree to a point. Young people wore the hammer and sickle aplenty. But I’d argue that most people wearing it were politically engaged.

The Che t-shirt kind of took on a life of its own and I’ve probably seen 1000 Che shirts to every 1 of the Vance shirts (outside of political environments).

But also… he’s clearly at a fancy dress party and it’s silly to read anything into it.

My feeling as a layman, sitting thousands of miles away, is that Trump is a vulcano ready to erupt, and that there will be no shortage of magalonians prepared to fight when he tells them to.

You’re both American if I’m not mistaken, so hopefully you have a better sense of it.

The court can only feck then that way if result is super close like 270-268. Thomas and Alito are true believers but the rest still have some deference to the appearance of propriety and won’t be on board with overturning multiple states for him. Just last week Barrett and Kavanaugh gave the go ahead on NY sentencing for Trump.

In a normal world it’s completely meaningless, I agree. Just pretty funny that he has now been pictured in drag and in a commie t-shirt - just need something satanic to complete the Republican nightmare bingo card.

Actually I'm British but I do live in America, there are indeed many MAGA nuts but the vast majority of them are not prepared to go to jail for their dear leader.

But I disagree. I think many people will be led up the garden path by the Trump campaign to commit crimes, potentially without them even knowing.

Will be interesting to see how community notes engages with his account. It’s still turned off for Musks own account (I think).

I made a prediction around 6 months ago that the Uk election would be a test space, and that the whole feature would disappear ahead of the US elections.

I suspect the more elegant solution will be to not show community notes for multiple hours/days on millions of targeted accounts. It’s already happened with Israel corrections and the Far Right noise in France and England. You don’t need to delay for long. Let the lie live for 12 hours and the noise attached to the lie lives for days.

The Apartheid Benefit Billionaire will say it’s due to the volume of corrections, and that content is noted when necessary, but it won’t matter.

Based on how the tankard shaped twat has acted over the last month, I’d be amazed if he doesn’t take his Town Square of Propaganda and use it to get what he wants. He’s beyond any punishment mechanisms. Why wouldn’t he?

I'm sure some will commit crimes, but most will likely avoid the Jan 6 type stuff, they thought they could get away with it last time, they know that isn't really the case so are not likely to repeat it + the authorities will be prepared for it this time
