Speaking of Abizzz, the Printing Press just appeared in his lands. The institutions should appear roughly 50 years apart, but Colonialism was so slow to appear that lots of countries still haven't even embraced that one, so now they're two behind.

What's more, he immediately allied @Abizzz, so he has a decent ally for once. He's also an Elector in the Holy Roman Empire, which means he gets to vote on who is Emperor!

So yeah, you lost a few provinces @Dr. Dwayne, but it's not the end or anything. They also didn't directly take most of them. In a way you were lucky to be at war with the Holy Roman Emperor, because it's in their best interest to make sure there are as many different countries in the Empire as possible (they get bonuses based on the number), so he didn't really want to conquer you.
Interesting development! @Igor Drefljak and his allies won the war against @Vidyoyo, but it could probably have been even worse if not for the Emperor, @adexkola invading Igor. I think what happened was that Igor attacked and annexed the city of Lübeck. But a mechanic in the game is that the Emperor can demand that any country which owns a province in the Empire that is not a core (takes time to make it into one) returns that province. If they refuse, then this can happen:

Okay I'm going to stop there and write another update tomorrow, the one with maps and stats. But Crackers is probably too poor to afford a colony, so Organic Potatoes is the only one colonizing the Americas right now. He also just got the tech to unlock a new idea group (nobody else has done that), and he picked Expansion. That is going to give him even more colonists. If nobody else picks Exploration when they hit the 4th idea group, I suspect he's going to colonize half of America before anyone else has a chance to get there
(To explain colonization a bit: you send a colonist to make a colony, and then if it's in Africa/Asia it becomes part of your country. If it's in the New World (also Australia), when you get enough colonies next to each other they turn into a separate country that continues colonizing on its own. He's currently got three different ones)

It's still going, started in 1560 and it's now 1566. You're both mostly bled out, but it looks like @Wing Attack Plan R is going to win (could take bigger losses).
Wasnt confident at all on this war, but im surprised he could take bigger losses with my manpower traditions. We shouldnt have taken risks, shouldve called the Timurids in to make sure we got the job done. Going to be vulnerable to a hobbers backdoor now.

Big thanks to @nimic for putting in the time and effort. Most entertaining thread in a long while.
What's the religious map like Nimic? Are we close to triggering a league war? They're always very entertaining.
To expand on this a little.. Organic Potatoes is going to be in a very strong position with the expansion + exploration combo. It basically sends his overseas expansion into overdrive by having two overseas focuses (at the cost of not having a more useful European-centric idea group)
The coloured areas below are colonial regions Nimic mentioned above, so if any countries secure enough colonies in any of these region, they create a semi-autonomous colonial nation. They're sort of like vassals in that they provide extra income, troops to fight, etc to their mother country, but they also expand and colonise to further their own growth and also can declare colonial wars independently.
