He will. I have a real feeling he'll go for:

    DDG
    Valencia Bailly Smalling Blind

    Herrera Pogba
    Mata Rooney Martial
    Zlatan

I'd be massively disappointed and surprised with this, give Rooney the last 5 mins if Jose feels he has to have a run out, certainly shouldn't be starting him.

Jose was at Juan Mata's resturant last night having dinner. Must be an injury. You dont eat a man's food and then drop them!

And Smalling and Rojo have looked better? Looked absolutely clueless on Blackburn's goal and on Hull's 2nd goal in the league cup 2nd leg.
Looked better, in the sense of not getting expelled uselessly and offering assists to opposition forwards in the last two games? Yeah, definitely.

With Carrick fit I'm hoping for:
    De Gea
    Valencia Bailly Smalling Blind
    Carrick
    Herrera Pogba
    Mata Ibra Martial

This looks like by far the best set up we can field at the moment with injuries and fitness considered. Please keep Lingard, Fellaini, Rooney out of the starting line up. I have a bad feeling that all three will start and we'd be in for a rough evening.

Apparently Mata's grandfather died. So he has gone to spain, maybe he comes back tomorrow?

This one says he was at the funeral so did not travel with the squad but has already travelled to London.

Translation-Mata has today been in Asturias at the funeral of his grandfather Manuel, who followed John from his first training. Mata already travels to London

Glad he isn't injured but sad at his loss. :(

Seems like the whole squad travelled to London; Joel Pereira, O’Hara, Henderson and Valencia spotted, among others.

Sad to hear. On the plus side Mata can dedicate his winner tomorrow to Manuel.

    Conspiracy:

Mkhitaryan was told by Mourinho that if we score a goal and secure the win (SE needing 5 goals without reply to go through) to feign injury to put a spanner in Southampton's tactical preparations this week.

If that was the case, he wouldnt be posting Pictures on instagram and twitter about how he is excited about the cup final.

He's just taking his mind games to the next level. Southampton have no idea which 3 players will be behind Zlatan tomorrow.

So mkhi travelled but is injured (pixtured on thr united official photos). Mata is away at his grandfathers funeral so not playing?

Bad news for Mata, but there's harder trips than Spain to London we could have been looking at!
Should probably be fairly fresh physically, as long as he is mentally!

All of our players travelled - even those injured. Mata went to his grandfather's funeral but should be back for the game.
It is the final, they will all be there, some on the pitch and bench, some in suits watching the game, and celebrating on the pitch later on, hopefully. Just like FA Cup final, Memphis (among other players who did not play) was wearing suit, joined the team on the pitch after the game, was not very happy when trophy and medals were given to team later.

Agreed. Rashford needs to be on the bench incase we need a plan B or to inject some fresh pace 2nd half. Our bench really is poor, our other attacking options would be Rooney and Lingard

It's a big game so I have a feeling we will go 433 or 4141 that means Carrick will play. Mkhytaryan is out anyway.

    DDG
    Valencia Bailly Smalling Blind
    Carrick
    Mata Herrera Pogba Martial
    Zlatan
Romero Young Rojo Fellaini Lingard Rooney Rashford

I would like to see Schweinsteiger on the bench but since it's a final match, I think it's better to have more attackers option on the bench.

Finally we're wearing red in a final. Been way too long.

Hopefully we win! Think 1 of Ibra/Pogba will have a huge impact.
