They certainly gained an advantage! Our player marking the Southampton "offside" player (Smalling I think) ran with him – as he can hardly hope that the officials will "spot" he was offside.

If he didn't go with the decoy player the room would not have existed for the goal to be scored … therefore the offside decoy play influenced the scoring of the goal and Southampton "gained an advantage" by using the deliberately offside decoy runner

No, the gaining a subsequent advantage part is supposed to deal with situations where the player in an offside position tape in a rebound off the post or similar. As I understand the rule, causing indecision isn't covered.

Happy to be corrected if someone can find guidance that says otherwise.
