    A performance and result that doesn't leave us all stewing and struggling to sleep after.That's now the benchmark of an ok outcome.
     
    Probably couldn't have a worse fixture now - Newcastle are a very physical team and even the less physical like Gordon are very aggressive workers. The exact type of team our players cower against, scared of a shoulder charge or going for a header, or having to pass under any pressure.

    Not having an out-and-out LWB and Martínez at LCB will be fine in this game as Newcastle are absolutely awful going forward on their right side.

    However, their backline is very athletic and physical, albeit slow IMO. One of Rashford/Garnacho should be starting here but probably not gonna happen.

    Sadly I don't see us faring well in the mid-block vs Guimaraes either.

    I hope Yoro starts because him at RCB with Maguire or MDL at CCB is a good pairing to deal with Gordon and Isak IMO.

    Could really do with a win here.
     
    Didn’t realize Ugarte was out as well :lol: I have to be honest, I think it’ll be another ugly home defeat sadly. Hopefully they’re up for it and there’s a plan in place.
     
    There are rumblings albeit not great sources that Rashford is in the squad. Anything from a credible journo?

    Eriksen shouldn't be in that midfield 2. We'll be overran. It'll have to he Collyer Mainoo. Unless he tried Kukonki as the LCB and moves Licha into the middle. Suppose Mazraoui could play Central though and Amad moves back to RWB. It's a fecking lottery pick this team

    Would have my preference. We need one attacker on the wing back, and there is no point in playing Dalot currently. Maybe swap Mazraoui and Antony in game.

    A bit harsh on Maguire perhaps.
     
    I’d play Mazraoui in midfield and put Amad back to win back, Eriksen as a 10. I’d like to see Collyer get some minutes, seems to have good energy about him.
     
    Amorim throwing a last lifeline to Rashford it seems... sink or swim. I genuinely wouldn't mind if Rashford suddenly showed his ability and on a consistent base going forward, but doubt it.
