    Getting booed is a shit aspect of football but if you play badly at a big club, it's to be expected. I don't understand why one would feel that sorry for Zirkzee, he's been given many opportunities to show himself and he's been consistently shit

    It’s not meant to be a defensive system. We just keep turning the ball over so end up with a back five instead of a back three.

    Amorim selection was poor but there is a minimum standard of effort and ability our players aren’t showing too. Head down stuff.

    Starting Zirkzee was a mistake. We have created two great chances since then. Can’t blame a manager for Casemiro being shit but you can blame him for starting a midfield two of Eriksen and Casemiro against an insanely athletic team

    Our players are pathetic.
     
    Some positives:
    we made it to halftime without conceding a 3rd goal
    we are matching Newcastle on possession
    we are another game closer to us ultimately winning the league title (in 2028).
     
    Luckily those teams at the bottom are really poor but we look like a side who could generally get relegated

    I still don't blame Amorim, he's inherited an absolute mess, I'm hoping this is like Klopp at Liverpool he inherited a bunch of bad signings/players who wanted out. Allow him to be ruthless please.

    I'd be open to seeing the kids used once this nasty run is over, he can teach them his set up and they may at least actually care. Can see who's ready as there may be a couple that are close meaning we can prioritise other positions

    Very naive to say he wants to keep it solid by starting the defenders as WB’s but then play two OAPs in central midfield against 3 of the most skilled energetic midfielders in the league. As soon as he brings Mainoo on we instantly look more solid but the games over already
     
    Absolutely attrocious first half, our attackers are poor and we shouldnt be starting with Casemiro and Eriksen together in the middle.

    Lisandro has been awful as well, the lad has forgotten how to defend.

    Booing a player who's been here five minutes when there's other players in that squad that have been here for years playing shite for the most part. Doesn't seem really fair to me.

    Agreed. disgrace from the fans that. It wasn't Zirkzee's fault, it was on the manager in this instance. Cheering him off is shocking.
     
    If I am Amorim, Casemiro will be shop out immediately. His long range attempted is a waste of possession and his scuffed shot at goal is plain bad. Lastly, Martinez is now being exposed for physically lacking as a CB. All United's fan can't wait for the summer to come and we are only in Dec. I will see who will remain at OT. Hopefully, half the squad is gone.
     
    We cannot, absolutely cannot, allow them to score right out of the blocks in the second half.
