Theres not many bad teams in the premiership this season. Us and a couple more.
I’d say the only teams definitely worse than us are Southampton & Leicester and possibly Ipswich and Everton. I’d say about 15th is our level

Should the manager not be adaptable and change based on the players he has available???

A great question which requires a new thread to fully discuss. I agree with what I think you’re leading, which is to salvage the season however you can, and then rebuild the squad that can implement your vision. By now it’s painfully obvious that this squad cannot compete using these tactics.

I’m a thousand percent behind Amorim, but right now our only hope is fending off relegation is being more pragmatic and less visionary.

Essentially now, we are a bottom half side. Top 6 side are visiting us at home and battering us. The shock of it disappears a bit when you look at the reality. We are now one of those teams we used to take for granted we’d win against most weeks

I know people will say it’s way down the priority list, but i think a new keeper would make a world of difference

All we cab do is go for it in this game. Antony on for Dalot, Rashford for Eriksen, Garnacho for Licha.

    Onana

    Mazroaui De Ligt Maguire

    Amad Casemiro Mainoo Antony

    Rashford Garnacho

    Hojlund

    Doesn't that look much better?

Imagine being a young player and doing the basic stuff correctly like unselfishly laying off a decent pass to a player (5x champions league winner) who places it wide then goes on to blame you. This club is fecked.

United's form is so bad that everyone can beat us at Old Trafford. I think these players are trying to get Amorim sack. How can Casemiro even miss that? Hoijund can't even shoot properly with his only chance in the game. We proclaim that we are the biggest club in the world and yet we can't even do the basic of a normal football club. Spending millions on players and managers yet football suck so badly. I hope Glazers sell the remaining of their shares, it is time for them to cut lost on this investment. Pretty soon we will be in Tier 2-3 of English football.

Recruitment under Ten Hag has killed us completely. Absolute trash signings in hindsight.

At least Martinez, Case and Eriksen gave us one good season each. It was the subsequent windows that fecked us. If we could have got recruitment right we might have been able to build on the relative success Ten Hag had in his first session.

The Casemiro/Eriksen midfield is an oppositions dream.

Imagine putting that out and claiming you are one of the biggest teams in the world.

Take Maguire and Eriksen off. Bring on Collyer and Garnacho.

Maz to RCB, Amad to RWB, Collyer in midfield and Garnacho at RAM.

That Zirkzee substitution was a hard watch. Even harder than watching the goals go in, I’m used to us being shyte by now. I bet Zirkzee is devastated in the dressing room, he looked like he was gonna cry when he grabbed his coat

Could be 2-1 up if we took those 2 chances and if the correct rules were implemented for Newcastles second “goal”

Don’t see how that second goal stands if United score it but our misery is the way we are playing. Offering nothing at all, and when we get a sitter we miss it. God knows who Casemiro is pointing at after missing that sitter. What else could Kobbie do!

 I know right, how are people watching that and think it's formation when the players aren't doing basics right
It’s ridiculous. They can’t put together 2 passes together but somehow playing 3 at the back is the problem.

Might as well throw Rashford on. He gives the same effort as what is on the pitch. He might have finished that Case chance.

Between the squad full of terrible players and the culture we now see on display, it's hard to say that ten Hag set us back any less than a decade.
The not giving a shit culture was here before ETH. He defintely could have done more to get rid of the bad apples and it did become worse but it didn't start during his tenure.

That first half was an aboslute horrow show and yet the thing that bothered me the most was the booing of Zhirkzee when he was subbed off.

Collectively booing the team is fine by me but to single out one of our own players is disgraceful. We've had a cavalcade of players in recent years who have stunk the stadium out with their performances and thet didn't get that kind of treatment.

We are absolutely shocking as a team but cheering a young lad who has just arrived at the club irrespective of whether he's not playing well is fecking embarrassing.

The poor start was on Amorim's selection. Bloody naive. Why on earth would you have a slow immobile player on the left, when you already have a slow immobile player like Eriksen in the middle leaving Amad the clear threat to nullify? The left attacking role can be so easily be filled by any one of Garnacho/Rashford. Next sub has to be Garnacho for Eriksen.

I said it after the Wolves game, we are the worst side in PL when it comes to athleticism, no exaggeration. All Newcastle are doing are going man for man and we keep getting dispossessed. That combined with years of lack of effort has led us to this. Look at how much off the ball work Gordon and Ramsey are doing. We've let our standards slip so much for over a decade. Until we assemble a team physically capable of playing at this level, we will continue to look like amateurs and lose.

This club is a joke and we are fecked.

After 10 years of lazy players taking the club for a ride, new management comes and the club STILL BENDS OVER to the fecking players (Letting Mazraoui to force the whole team to not wear the rainbow jacket for example).

We are just reaping what we sowed.

All this is signed AFTER Arnold had that famous chat with fans where he said; "We will not burn money anymore".

No we’ll accept any old rubbish for years on end.

Why blame and whistle a young lad who joined us just this season? What if your young son was playing for United and he gets substituted after 30 minutes and the crowd was cheering and whistling him off the pitch? At least try and put things in perspective. We’re talking about a young lad who right now feels devastated.

I thought he was apologising for missing, it was on G Nev saying he was complaining. he holds both his hands up as if to say sorry.

This guy is even more stubborn than ten hag...

How is he stubborn? Because he’s playing his system that the club knew he would play before hiring him?
It isn’t his fault that the previous manager decided to sign a dwarf at CB, two geriatrics in midfield and the worst goalkeeper in the league.

I thinl Casemiro reacted like that for the sake of reacting, in his heart of hearts, he knows Kobbie is blameless there
