Casemiro and Eriksen would be a handicap for prime Barca. Either of them would kill the team.
    Martinez is up there too.

Højlund makes silly runs, and then spends the next minute ambling offside, and he is our only striker!

I feel for Amorim. He seems a decent coach, but what a shit-show he has walked into!

Just when you thought it couldn't get worse than having to listen to Neville make passive aggressive comments about the team, we now have to listen to Carragher make sly comments about the team to further whatever narrative he wants to push

Can't really complain though cause we're actually the worst I've seen us since the Rangnick spell
Oh look there he goes. 'That's on the manager'

Tbh, can't argue with it. Eriksen/Casemiro should not be playing.

I’d say the only teams definitely worse than us are Southampton & Leicester and possibly Ipswich and Everton. I’d say about 15th is our level
Everton and Ipswich are definitely better than us. I'd also say Leicester after watching them vs City.

That was truly terrible, about as bad as it gets.
Very defensive formation yet can't defend.
Zero attacking threat on the pitch, not much going in midfield although after mainoo introduction was a little better. Feel sorry for zirkzee not sure he deserved that, far worse performers out there.

Rashford and garnacho have to come on. Probably for de ligt and either eriksen or casemerio shift maz to rcb and amad to rwb.

Rashford and garnacho in behind Hojlund.

It's certainly not over but whatever happens I don't hold out much hope.

Your living in la la land we should be 1-5 down, Amorim won’t survive past January he’s absolutely clueless with a 5221 formation at home at old Trafford.. he’ll have 10 PL points from 12 games if he’s lucky and SJR will sack him and Berrada without hesitation!
He might, but who will want the vacant job(s)? Being Stalin's food taster would offer more job security.

The 74/75 side led by stuart pearson would absolutely batter this team.

That was as team that played for the badge, in the 2nd division.

    "Bullying" ? Like really ?

The fans should be grateful that they are being out priced from watching their team life and being fed dross weak in weak out simply to pay these fraud's salary

Casemiro has put in the worst footballing performance I've ever seen
Yep, he’s been truly atrocious, think he’s lost the ball with every pass, can’t run, can’t tackle and can’t shoot.

Liverpool are going to absolutely hammer us on Sunday.

Possibly… if we have money for the January window then fair enough bringing him in when we did so he can look at it and decide who is surplus and what is needed.

If we don’t however then yeah, might have been better to keep ETH through this period and brought Amorim in January Feb when he actually has a chance to train the team properly.

Because all our players are surely going to be on the floor confidence wise and probably lost confidence in Amorim’s ways and ideas already. So can’t see this going well. Seems like they Ineos have screwed him before he has even got going.
Amorim either needed to be in last summer, except they were looking for someone who could get a tune out of the dross they had let ETH buy, when they couldn't find anyone, they just kept ETH and let him buy more dross. Amorim wanted to come in next summer. This club is still run by idiots.

Unpopular opinion. Amorim is Deja Vu like when we were under Moyes, LVG, Jose, Ole, ETH where they need a new squad of players and few hundred millions to play their football. Meanwhile other clubs don't need this at all!

They’re whistling another terrible player being signed by the club. That’s life. He’ll get over it when he sees his bank balance, like all the other United players seem to these days.
Yes money is the answer to everything. He hasn't worked out but the lad has been here five minutes, there's other players in that squad that have been serving up shite for years. Doesn't deserve that treatment.

Feck me, that's what the majority of the fanbase wanted. Some of the revisionism in this fanbase is shocking

Not me, I was dead against it. But a cup win was enough to paper over the canyon of cracks apparently

All we cab do is go for it in this game. Antony on for Dalot, Rashford for Eriksen, Garnacho for Licha.

    Onana

    Mazroaui De Ligt Maguire

    Amad Casemiro Mainoo Antony

    Rashford Garnacho

    Hojlund

    Doesn't that look much better?
Maybe even Collyer on for Casemiro.

I don't know how you can blame the formation when both goals come from a way that should never happen in this formation. Clearly on the players. There's a wingback who just had to focus on the outside allowing crosses instead. The header comes from a player that should easily be covered when you have 3 CBs

I know people will say it’s way down the priority list, but i think a new keeper would make a world of difference

I'd be happy with a keeper that attempts to dive, to start.

I get that we have only one wide defender in the squad, and he's a 19 year old kid who's just came back from a 3 month long injury, but why is Martínez playing at LCB?

Why is Casemiro starting ahead of Collyer?

Why can't Amad or Antony play RWB instead of 2 defenders as wing-backs?

This is on the poor squadbuilding over the past decade post-Fergie under the Glazers. Amorim has the quality, but you can't polish a turd.

I know people will say it’s way down the priority list, but i think a new keeper would make a world of difference
Anyone watching that game and thinks keeper is in the top 5 issues really is bonkers.

Fully on Amorim for me. The players are shit but his selection from amongst the shit has been awful too.

Playing Martinez against these giants and having Eriksen and Casemiro both in CM is criminal I agree. Then he selects that absolute clown Zirkzee. Same with Dalot that joke of a LB. I have much patience for him but his selections have become worrysome.

Vivell and Wilcox have a fecking job on their hands.

No room for error in the transfer window. Every signing has to be on the money and I hope they've done a thorough assessment of what we need and what we need to get rid of.

We started the game with 9 men and it showed.

Now that we're up to 10 were doing a bit better.

Hopefully in the second half we can get a full 11 on the pitch

Crowd really starting to turn, it's VERY rare they boo and individual player off. Fair play they've spent their hard earned money on watching most of these, who don't give a shit and earn more than they ever will in a week...

Be interesting to see how Rashy is received

I still don't blame Amorim, he's inherited an absolute mess, I'm hoping this is like Klopp at Liverpool he inherited a bunch of bad signings/players who wanted out. Allow him to be ruthless please.

I'd be open to seeing the kids used once this nasty run is over, he can teach them his set up and they may at least actually care. Can see who's ready as there may be a couple that are close meaning we can prioritise other positions

Watching both goals again Onana should have come out for both balls. Truly appalling defending, of course, but the keeper has to be aware of the danger and be brave.

Just get the prima donnas out of that dressing room.
I just want us to make sure we don't get fecking relegated. We need to start afresh.Sick of so called experienced players being shite. It doesn't matter the system, you still shouldn't play like this.

Do people seriously think that Real’s success is down to their spoilt fans throwing tantrums?

No, but it helps. If you don’t have standards you drift in to mediocrity, which is exactly what’s happened with us. We care more about being “top reds” and nice people than the team actually being successful. If you don’t throw tantrums then you’re basically saying performances don’t matter as long as you don’t hurt the feelings of multimillionaire footballers.

How the feck didn't VAR pick up that handball on Joelinton??? And why the feck are refs allowed to feck us over with at least 1 decision per match now? I'm not saying refs are the reason we are losing, but they aren't helping

And the same so-called “fans” are bullying and whistling a young lad after getting hauled off after 30 minutes. Well, great loyal fans.

Pretty rare from our match going fans - don't think it's fair to be slagging them off on this occasion. He was terrible. The whole side was.

Watching Martinez again on the first goal he genuinely may as well have not been on the pitch.
