    Two things we definitely need:

    - Casemiro has to play. His box defending and threat are a must.
    - Amad needs to play wing back. If we play two defenders in these positions we won’t score.

Time to give Moorhouse and Collyear a try

We won't lose this, the Toon will be thinking they just have to turn up. Nil all.

Who would you choose for our front three, then? With Bruno and Mount unavailable and Rashford seemingly out of favour, our options in the final third feel incredibly limited.

In fact, this shortage of attacking depth might explain why Amorim has opted to play Amad in the No. 10 role.

We'll get bullied but I think we'll nick a win.
    Hojlund with the winner.

I agree with people who say we need Amad as a wingback otherwise we’ll struggle to create anything. But then who do we play in the advanced positions with no Bruno, Mount or Amad? Mainoo and Erikson? But then who do we play deeper, Cas and who? I’m interested to see how we line up.

Always try to go into match day with optimism, but hell, I have a bad feeling about this one. :annoyed:

Is it the time to try martinez in midfield alongside casimero with mainoo pushed in a number 10 spot to replace bruno?

Wouldn't mind this. He’s played it in the past before coming here
You'd have even less mobility and physicality than we normally do. Joelinton would run riot

I think I’d just ensure Mainoo and Hojlund are further up field with Amad wide.

    Then in the midfield:
    Casemiro and Collyer

I can't believe anyone is looking forward to this one.
But compared to the next fixture we should be massively optimistic!

Time to bench the useless where we can

    Onana
    Yoro deligt (c) martinez
    Amad colleyer mainoo maz
    Garnacho erikson
    Chido

Im sick of seeing zirkzee, hojlund, dalot, rashford, Bruno amongst others. Unfortunately the back up keeper is bad.

    Predicting a 2-0 loss.
Two goals from corner, direct into goal and no touch from Onana or defenders.

We gonna get bullied all over the pitch again due to assembling a squad of soft and old players. 0-2 if we get lucky 1-1.
Soft players who also manage to be unathletic and somewhere between poor and average (inclusive) technically. Truly a marvel to behold.

If we play the back 3 we played at Wolves, that Newcastle front three (Gordon, Isak, Murphy) will rip us to shreds. Against that front three it is absolutely critical that our entire back 3 is as mobile as possible.

The first of many batterings United will face over the next few weeks.

I hope we see us trying to win the midfield battle.

    Onana
    Yoro, de Ligt, Martinez
    Amad, Casemiro, Mainoo, Dalot
    Eriksen, Garnacho
    Højlund.

It’s more of a 3-4-1-2 with Eriksen dropping deep and Amad and Garnacho getting forward more.

I’m so sick and tired of EtH and now Amorim playing with Eriksen in CM. With Bruno, Ugarte and Mount out a 3-man midfield with Eriksen, Casemiro and Mainoo is by far the best and most balanced midfield.

I think our best chance of a point is to setup defensive and play for a 0-0, then hope for something from a setpiece. Get the groundsman to setup the pitch as narrow as allowed.

I suspect a 0-2 or 0-3 defeat. Could be worse but hopefully not. Havent seen anything from the last few games to suggest we can score at the moment. Defeat in the next 3 league games puts us in real trouble in the league and Amorin under huge pressure. God awful stuff and I just don’t see where we turn a corner.

They better run through walls tomorrow. Any instance of half-arsed running needs to be torn asunder by Old Trafford. Stop playing nice with them. They've had it easy for far too long now.

Saudi-Castle are on four wins in a row and beat Villa 3-0 with their midfield of Tonali/Guimares/Joelinton and front three of Gordon/Isak/Murphy in very good form, unfortunately. They are very physical and intense in the duels. United lost to Wolves and Bournemouth on the bounce with a goal difference of 0-5.

    So logic says... 3-0 United.

In the last games we have been bullied physical. We really need 2-3 physically strong players in the team, and i.a. that's why I really miss McT. I fear it will be a problem again tomorrow

Even with Bruno and Ugarte out of the team for tomorrow, I would like to see Amad at RWB. Someone on here posted that we'd not scored a goal when fielding two defensive wing backs, who are in essence the sole width in our game.

    ----------------------------Onana
    -----------Yoro-----------de Ligt--------Martinez
    Amad----------Casemiro----Mainoo--------Mazraoui
    -------------Eriksen--------------Garnacho
    ------------------------Hojlund

    Won’t happen but I’d consider a change to a 352 for this.

    Onana
Maz - De Ligt - Martinez
    Casemiro
    Amad - Eriksen - Mainoo - Garnacho
    Hojlund - Zirkzee
