I firmly believe we won't win anything other than the odd cup trophy under Ten Hag. We are set up to fail.

Played alright until we got to the final 3rd, but then repeatedly fell apart. Still early but I haven't liked what I've seen from Zirkzee in any game, regardless of his goal. De Ligt and Mazraoui have been good. Mainoo done quite well. Don't think I need to say anything on Casemiro. Obviously by far his worst game of the season and responsible for both goals. Not expecting Ugarte to come straight in for him in next game (not fit) which will probably mount pressure on ETH. Can't say I'm optimistic of a comeback in this. I really don't see where our goals are coming from this season.

Nothing, it’s a home game against Pool, we lost three goals before the HT (one disallowed), never threatened them. Exactly the plan
Individual mistakes again. All of us have bemoaned Casemiro as not good enough and the manager knows it, so what should we expect when he has to rely on him?

Unless I've been watching a different game than others, how is this on the manager?

We played better than I have seen us over recent times. And we're holding our own, even outplaying at times. Then Casemiro happened

We really should take another look at potentially bringing in Rabiot to help with the numbers. Casemiro can't be relied upon at all this season it seems.

Robben and Sneijder left Madrid 15 years ago, it’s hardly the same.

Well im Dutch so they were the first one popping into my mind. What about Odegaard? Kubo? Gutierrez? Real Madrid sells good players from time to time because they have so many world class or close to world class players.

I have no faith that they’d have done well for us. Just because all these big money signings fail for us.

Perhaps but I can't remember a time when Utd have had less of a goal threat than now in 25 years of watching them. Having promising strikers alone will never be enough. Like CB, you need tried and tested.

Gift that keeps on giving.. gifted two to Brighton and same today. It was a hopeful start then they press with 4 and they couldn't pass it to anyone other than a white shirt. Zirkzee has been dreadful Rashford same. 0-4 coming up as we just like giving them the ball.
Expect the calls for EtH to get the sack

We wouldn't be two goals down without his contribution though.
Fair enough. Plenty still to do for that second goal though. Martinez’s just left his one guy free in the box. It was all a shambles

Actually think we played very good. Was great to see us pass and look like a team with a system. At times our buildup up play, especially in the first 20 minutes, was like a faster version of City.

Can’t account for two Casemiro mistakes. Or bad final balls from attackers.

If ever there was a time to look beyond the scoreline I think this is it.
Nonsense, we've been absolutely awful. We haven't had a chance

For all those concerned about Ugarte being a safe passer, maybe we need our DM to be a safe passer in these games and not just constantly feck up. That's the part that infuriates me, Casemiro has been doing his wayward hoofs since the beginning and never thought he should play it safe for just a few minutes. And this is our most experienced midfielder. Like, what can you say at that point.

Both teams have essentially played the same gameplan. Their midfielders are more athletic, their attackers more clinical. That's the big difference and Zirkzee isn't ready to make up that difference. De Ligt and Mazraoui look like good signings, that's the only positive. Put Collyer on, put Amad on and let's try and get something. It's likely gonna be 3 points from 3 games, what a horrible start.

We are so easy to play against. We can't even string 2 passes in attack. Liverpool not even at their best and stroll to victory

Unless I've been watching a different game than others, how is this on the manager?

We played better than I have seen us over recent times. And we're holding our own, even outplaying at times. Then Casemiro happened
We've not been setup to deal with Liverpool's high press. At least not drilled to cope with it.

    Casemiro 2 - United 0

Could see it coming, he was consistently giving the ball away in the middle of the pitch, and there was far too much space in between the defensive and midfield line. Didn’t seem like any adjustments were made as well.

He's here a long time he shouldn't even still have a job so yeah I think we can blame him
Well of course you can but I won't. I would say our defence looks much better than the whole of last season. Ugarte will I hope transform the midfield. Let's judge him at Xmas.

Decent first 20mins, really sloppy afterwards. interested to see what effect Ugarte has on our midfield beinng SO open....as personally think Fernandes/Mainoo doesnt work, Again our failure to buy a quality winger this summer will prove our downfall though.
Rashfords just done, Antonys shiteand Garnacho/AMad at the moment are quality bench players, neitherare starter....quality consistently inthe final third just isnt there

OK for spells but looks zero attacking threat and can barely pass a ball .

This one is utterly gone now as even the most insanely deluded fan can't think we're scoring 2 today.

I always say when it’s 1-2 players playing poorly it’s on them but when it’s the whole team it’s on the coaching staff. I’ve always wanted every coach to succeed but this is awful and the first two games of the season weren’t good enough either.

We probably deserved to beat Fulham, draw (just about) with Brighton and throughly deserve to be losing today. We just aren’t good enough. Half of the mid-table teams seem better with ‘lesser’ players. They get more out of them at least.

Everything is too easy to read for the opposition, no movement, midfielders that can be targeted, and no clear patterns of play upfront.. woeful stuff really. We look like a worse team than anyone we play

    ETH needs to go.

Zirkzee isnt up to this level. 30 mins watching him and you can see that.

De Ligt and Mazraoui arent players to take us to the next level.

    We have wasted another summer.
I think De Ligt and Mazraoui have both looked good today actually. I agree about the rest though. Our biggest problem is going forward and creating any kind of dangerous chance and that largely falls on the manager to implement a style of play that allows that.

If Maguire did what Martinez did today. He would be crucified

Agreed. There's definitely a lot of leeway given to Martinez that would not be afforded to someone like Maguire.

It will be interesting to see if he maintains his spot when Yoro is fit again.

At this point I don't care if ETH stays or goes as I trust the new setup to make an informed decision but that's the worst midfield performances I've ever seen from anyone. I can't even find words to describe how terrible Casemiro was.

Poor Mainoo ended up getting a yellow card because he had to do all the work.
How can you not care if ten hag stays when the continually inept midfield is largely down to him
