    Considering how eager they would be to play us, they'd have no problem finding local fans to come over and clean up the pitch by scooping up the snow with their bare hands.

    I know we will probably lose today so I pray to God that this is the final low point of our 11 year decline. I truly have faith in Ruben but I do not have faith in the board or the players and I feel like he needs to have some luck on his side at some point. And please God if we manage to play even slightly okay don’t let Onana or Dalot or whoever just gift them a goal

    Look at them sweeping/hoovering that snow off the pitch as if their life depends on it. Their whole annual council budget probably went on making sure that this game goes ahead today, just so they can twat us. The look on their faces when we play a boring 0-0 stalemate is going to be priceless. Ugarte to have the game of his life today.

Your perception is that the snow height has anything to do with it because in the Germanic countries, that is the measure. You also have snow tires for the winter, which the UK does not. The reality is that the concern is mostly about ice and the danger that comes with it and very little to do with snow. You don’t really experience ice trouble so don’t relate to it. Your snow also tends to be the soft, fluffy. crimpling kind, that is idyllic and picturesque, not stuff that turns into very dangerous slip and slide traps.

    Having experienced your winters first hand, I can tell you it has very little relation to what we get in the UK. It’s hard for that to be conveyed so jokes about snow height abound, but you’re mostly talking about a very different winter and set of pitfalls.
