Blimey, one of those planes that was circling Manchester has started putting out an emergency code 7700 signal and is heading to Dublin.

Don't know how serious that is but sounds dramatic.

Manchester airport is closed so I assume Dublin is the closest that’s open.

And that's got to do with Liverpool Vs United......how??

General weather watch in terms of the chances of the game going ahead or not. If planes still can't land in the north west then it's still bad.

Is that when all the players have to put their hands on their hips and go “oh my gourd, well done you guys!”
Putting some gourds out in our starting eleven might have more life to them than some of the players.

Anyone have an idea of when they’d make the call about the game being on or off?

How did you not guess the answer to that?

The main topic of this thread is not football, but today's weather.

Edit: Just saw you were joking! This place is very confusing sometimes.

My guess would be around 11ish? By then I think they'd have a fairly good idea, but even that early a lot of people would have already started their journey towards the ground.

MetOffice has a warning till midday 4 hours before kickoff. Why not just tell people way before that. Fans safety should be a real concern!?

Haha yeh it's a just a bad joke on my part.

I’m hoping this gets postponed. United at Anfield right before going back to work on Monday after Christmas break is not what I need.

Don’t need that type of negative vibes to start the year/first work week

    Ah, no worries.

    Have another weather update:

Honestly doesn't look anywhere near bad enough to warrant postponement.

I've never so badly wanted a game to be off though. Just push it back to April when we've hopefully got our act together.

Liverpool having two derby postponements would be kind of wild! First time in ages I've been able to sit down and watch Super Sunday and it might get cancelled..fuming.

It doesn't look bad no, but it's more about how slippery and icy it is out for people heading to the game, and that's why I reckon it will be postponed if it's still like that in a couple of hours.

FFS just play the game. All of you running scared is hilarious  RAWK must be having a field day reading this thread.

    T
Whats app floating around that it’ll be cancelled at 9am but could be BS.
This is correct just looked on MEN

‘The Liverpool City Council's Safety Advisory Group have confirmed a safety meeting will take place at 9am this morning.

This will be to determine whether the game at Anfield will go ahead at 4:30pm this afternoon.’

Feck off, we just our team to be able to compete properly in this game, any one who actually gives a shit about the team would want that.

Ya there are some strange comments just wanting us to just play this game and get battered when we are clearly are an all time low. It’s like they want us to get battered so they can rant on here for the week.

As a person living in a northern state in the US I don't understand sometimes how relatively minimal amounts of snow or ice can completely paralyze certain parts of Europe. If it d in areas surrounding the Mediterranean I could sort of get it but for airports to even get shut down over those small amounts seems crazy to me.

I'll get off my high horse now.

No sky signal in Manchester. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing.

Aww okay just call the FA when you're ready then and we'll play the game when's best for you.

Can't see this being cancelled due to some snow, it's a massive game with huge viewings figures for broadcasters all around the world. If it was Fulham Vs Southampton maybe....
Liverpool v Everton was called off a few weeks ago

Because this happens once every two or three years.

Bloody woke dastards want to cancel anything manly

Back in my day, we demanded four injuries a match or our penny back.
