I'd be surprised if it's Rooney as the widest of the three rather than Martial. Didn't he play there for France during the break?

The midfield 3, as it looks anyway, is IMO the best we can put together from our squad. So watch them get repeatedly over-run this afternoon. It's United away at Goodison, I don't think anyone is expecting anything better.

3 in midfield always make me feel better though. Should be solid and keep the ball.

Good to see LVG has learnt from the Arsenal game and rightfully removed Blind from CB, as well as pulling out Carrrick and Memphis.
Still no sign of the guts to drop Rooney though...

Same, I guess, especially if that means we get to play a midfield three. I can imagine they'd be loads of interchanging too, as Martial likes to drift into the wide positions.

Also, despite the game already being lost, I felt he did pretty well there against Arsenal in the second half. Hope it works out.

I'd say it's less of a possession focused side than other XI's we've played. That back line is no nonsense defenders. Schneiderlin is about winning the ball back more than keeping it. BFS is more speculative and forward thinking than Carrick. Herrera is very speculative too.

To me it looks like a team that will try to make things happen.

I'm glad Depay and Blind were dropped, they haven't been performing well lately. That being said I wish Rooney had been dropped as well and replaced with Pereira for example, he has been even worse than Depay and Blind. I have zero confidence against everton away. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong, but I can't see us winning the game, especially with Rooney on the field he never scores against everton.

No they didn't. Blind hasn't been convincing recently and Memphis has been awful in the league.

He did some good runs I can't deny, but he has been awful from the start of the season. And specially this game against his former team IMO he won't be capable of doing anything just like before. Hope I'm so wrong though.
