The hatred towards Rooney is over the top. He sure is out of form, he still comes with bags of experience and influence. The whole world seem to worship him except for United supporters.

Typical British punditry going on Setanta. Pat Nevin thinks "Darmian has looked good going forward but suspect defensively" then proceeds to show highlights from the Arsenal game. Honestly reckon they don't watch any of our games but the big matches then extrapolate their opinions from them.

No it isn't. The only people who worship him are the ones who don't actually watch him and still judge him on his past.

Commentator on Setanta just said Jones is in to deal with Lakuku..

If we want Europe next season, we have to be picking up points against the likes of Everton. Hope we manage to put in an improved performance today.

    Off your tits saying that.

Hardly any opposition supporters rate him highly or would want him in their side.

Looks like its Rooney central and Martial left. Basically we changed the position of our most inform player to make room for our worst performing one....

It's amazing that we have the undroppable Wayne Pooney in our side. He's the selection that did not surprise me before this game. Shocking.

Some goober on Setanta saying Darmian looks good going forward, but not defensively :wenger: and that United haven't got the full back situation "sorted". I don't really think anyone was accounting for Shaw to be out for most of the season. You can't really prepare for that.

Rojo is the rotation option and he's been injured as well, and Blind can play there but Jones has been injured so had to play CB. What else can you do? I'd say spending £27m on Shaw and £12m on Darmian is very much "sorting" the full back situation.

It isn't hatred. United fans would be the first to criticise his form though as the ones who watch him every single week, the ones who only watch him every now and then or for England go off his reputation.

So it's Martial shunted to the left wing. What the feck Louis!

It`s Pat Nevin , always talks shite

 Its such a go to valuation of full-backs and you can usually tell that anyone who says it hasn't a clue.

I still quite figure out how exactly we'll line up with those players. I'm intrigued. It's Van Gaal, I'm prepared to be surprised.

Or we are putting our inform player in a position where he is still very competent in order to create a better attack.

It's fecking madness and it's beginning to anger me.

On our broadcast they are showing Rooney on the left wing and Herrera in behind Martial. We'll see how they line up and play.
I'm just going on how we've warmed up where it's Martial wide and Rooney up top, hopefully it's some master plan to fool Everton.. Hopefully..

Martial's pace will mean Coleman will be more wary of getting forward and leaving gaps than he would have been if Rooney was playing from the wing.

So much negativity here. Hope the players prove all of you wrong (including Rooney)

This is a strong XI, mates. Sure, Rooney should be dropped but Louis isn't ready yet to man up. Herrera will have a huge impact and I really like our chances of picking up the gritty win today. But Dave will have to make some massive saves.
