I hope we won't get overrun in midfield
Yes 75 mins before kick offWere the lineups supposed to be released earlier this season, or did I imagine that?
Edit: yes!
Yeah looks like it will be a deep double pivot of Eriksen and Mainoo, good combination of long and short passing. Also means there's a complete lack of physicality through the middle.Mainoo DM?
Yes, huge chance we will get ran over in the middleYeah looks like it will be a deep double pivot of Eriksen and Mainoo, good combination of long and short passing. Also means there's a complete lack of physicality through the middle.
The Rashford decision is far more understandable. That midfield though is a jokeIF we don’t win, he’s setting himself up for a lot of criticism dropping Rashford and Ugarte to the bench.
Mainoo, Eriksen and Bruno midfield is worrying.
Just throwing the kid to the wolves and then people will say he had a shit game when it happens.Weak midfield. You can see Eriksen and Bruno miles in front of Mainoo on the pitch.
Turns out all Rashford had to do to get benched was find some form
It is but we need an inform Rashford if we’re going to have a successful season, I’d have started him today. The Rashford decision is far more understandable. That midfield though is a joke
Ours is no better
As I thought.Eriksen deserves another start.
I doubt Ugarte will yet.
Rashford benched. Can’t believe it!Benching Rashford after the game midweek would be bizarre management.
Dunno about that lineup. Reminds me of that Brentford 4-0 game early on when he tried to just play Eriksen as DM and play 'Ajax ball'.
It doesn't really work, does it?

Well yeah, I just don't fancy it against a better side than Southampton.I mean it worked last week.
At least we have options on the bench, it’s just whether he sticks or twists if the need arises. History suggests the worst option!Playing Eriksen in a more physically demanding position against a much better side after he's already played this week is quite confusing, in line with Ten Hag's style of thinking though.
