I cant believe anyone can have any doubts about this.

He may be old but he is still in the top 3 strikers in the world and is a massive upgrade on Rashford and Rooney.

If he flops, who cares? We ain't paying a huge transfer fee for him and it will be a short term contract.

He is that player who can be the difference between 1 point and 3.

Fantastic signing. First of many, I hope.

Finally, a player with some swagger, notoriety and class in a United shirt again.

These are the sort of players fans around the world want to see play.

Meanwhile, at the Legion of.. RAWK:
He'll probably be the best player in the league if he moves. I would rather he went somewhere else to be honest.

Is it true he wants £600k a week
Please please please let this be true.
That's silly money. I can't see them going over £500k personally, but to be honest it wouldn't really shock me.

It will ruin my summer if Ibrahimovic joins that shower. He might be getting on but he is world class, make no mistake about it. He will also bring a winning mentality with him, something they have lacked for a while now.

He's perfect for the Premier League

Matip will break him.

He's been offered a reported 26 million from China, so I'd imagine that will have to be matched.

French League is on it's arse, the weakest it's been in years. He is 35.

quaking.

To be fair, he'll be getting a similar deal here at United at £11.5m a year. I get the second year is not guarantee at United, but I think it would be, if he performs.

No you misread it's 25 million per year he would get double in China that he would for us

This is shaping up rather nicely to be the muppet thread of the summer. His every move, gesture, smile during the Euros will be analysed to death here.

If you look at last year's financial results, we have A LOT of room on our wages bill while keeping around our 50% wages/turnover ratio.

We could probably add 5 players on Zlatan's wage.

Which is partly a reflection of how much improvement we can make in this squad.

Looking at his goals from last season, we'll also finally have someone that's a reliable penalty taker.

That interview is brilliant. Exactly the attitude and confidence we need at the club. He is ours for sure. Also another huge benefit that isnt being mentioned much is his signing will be a huge draw for other players as well. Who wouldnt want to play with Ibra? Mourinho coming in, and now Ibrahimovic as well and suddenly us not having Champions league football means feck all for us in terms of attracting players because they more then offset that I think. Having huge stars like him, or messi, or ronaldo makes other players want to join them at the club.

Swedish paper Aftonbladet sent out a reporter to Megastore and asked if they could print Zlatan's name on a shirt...

#MUFC Megastore refuse to print Ibrahimovic shirts: "Its a done deal, but until it's confirmed, we can't print"

But that's stupid, you should be able to get any name printed on the shirt. Does this mean that someone who happens to be called, say, Kane, cannot get his own name on a United shirt just because Harry Kane plays for a different club? I imagine there are people called Kane in the UK apart from him.

Ibrahimovic isn't the only Ibrahimovic in the world either. I don't see how the club could refuse a request. Sure, they can't start advertising shirts with his name on it but a custom request should be different.

Ah yes, the good old fashion Megastore printing man ITK.

He is second only to Justin Moorhouse.

See it along the same lines as Schweinsteiger, regardless of age and fitness, we need more winners in that dressing room. There's lots of room in the wage budget, and we'll make a shit ton from shirt sales.

Ibrah's signing on fee will probably be more than Schweiny's transfer fee, but at least he's proven to be quite the hardy player, very rarely injured.

I think he will come and we will get a couple of seasons out of him. Even then he could still go to China and be the best player in the League for 2 years and earn another £50 million. His ego says to me that he will want to play in the biggest stadium every week for the biggest team with a manager who is just the same. If he ends up anywhere else I'll be gutted, his signing would be the perfect start to the Mourinho era (if he comes ;))

He's doing a really good job of milking everything he can out of this. I suppose you can't really blame him when the media continue to lap it all up though.

I love when people just plug that type of numbers, Ibrahimovic asked for 33m pounds.
He earns 14m€ in France and 23m with his commercial deals.

"...and if you'll just sign here...excellent. Now don't forget Zlatan, it's top secret. Only me, you, Jose and the guy who fills the coke machine at the megastore can know."

I'm buzzing about this! First time in 15 years he's going to be in a team I cheer for.

Just seen the press conference, he's basically given it away with that massive smile at the end, he knows full well he will be playing here next season. He wouldn't mention all this if he was going to spend his last couple of seasons in America or China, he wants to experience the Premier League and that puts us as firm favourites thank god. Can't believe it looks like it's actually happening.

Will he land up slowing down our attack like rooney?
Its abit of a myth that every player has to be rapid to make a fast team. If we just surround him with pacey players that are fast across the ground but more importantly fast in the mind then there's no reason we cant bring the absolute best out of Ibra. I have no doubt that his technical game and physicality will allow him to have a big impact on the prem so long as the rest of the team is also well equipped.

He did say that it could happen if your name was really Ibrahimovic, he asked for ID in that case.

I'm assuming it's because of image rights or some such bollocks.

He was never fast anyway. He'll sit up top and hold up play I'd imagine, plus he's not just a goal scorer he's known for, he's quite creative and unselfish.
