This is a very risky transfer which can go both ways for us.

He is 34 years old;
He has a big ego like Mourinho;
Is he just after a final 'good' pay packet?;
Is he also wanting to win a League in another country?;
Can he still deliver at a top level?

He seems to want to join Mourinho/United and he may be instrumental to make us a force again but there are many question marks to be answered - then maybe we should take the risks and get him.

None of us is Nostradamus!

He is 34 years old; He doesn't use pace and is in peak condition,this makes decline easier.
He has a big ego like Mourinho; Yes but he and Mourinho have a big respect for each other.
Is he just after a final 'good' pay packet?; He got some crazy offer of £22m+ a year in China which we won't match.
Is he also wanting to win a League in another country?; Who wouldn't?
Can he still deliver at a top level? I think we could possible win the league with him if we reinforce or midfield.

Is it true some Chinese club has offered him 25 million a year for 2 years?

Maybe he's one of the rarities in football that isn't driven by financial gain, either way he's a complete cock tease and I love him. Certainly be interesting next season with him amd mourinho we'll finally have some characters in the dressing room.

To be fair, he'll be getting a similar deal here at United at £11.5m a year. I get the second year is not guarantee at United, but I think it would be, if he performs.

Let's be honest, even if Zlatan was slow he has the ball control, the ability, the creativity to do special things.

He can hold up the ball brilliantly for pacey wingers like Martial, or Griezmann if the offer came in, he'd give confidence to Depay too.

Zlatan would really open up defences and I think the physically dominant teams would struggle against him.

Can finally get rid of Fellaini, having Zlatan in the air would be a huge upgrade. It would help give players confidence, Schmeichel spoke about how Eric had a similar aura and I believe Zlatan has that too.

Next year will be special we the right buys, the right manager, Zlatan is just the jewel on the crown.

The (seemingly) closer we get to a deal, the more "yes" votes in the poll and more positivity in the posts.

Goes well together with marketing theory that he is already "ours" in our minds, and we tend to value more the things that are "ours".

That being said, I'm all for Ibra coming. If he brings half the goals from PSG as well as his winners mentality, I'll be laughing.

Don't forget he's praised Rooney in the past too. Ironic really, with the China rumors Rooney had to endure. I think Jose is a big pull but working with Rooney and others will tempt him i'm sure. He's already a multi millionaire.

I believe it's double. £25m per year for 2 years in China.

Thats the kind of grin you give when you're 16 and somebody associates you with your crush.

He even gave the little giggle.

Good thing about Ibra is he's got excellent technique what together with his psychical attributes makes him very at back-to-goal play, and can also be a target man. That's if we want to use him in the Fellaini role. He might be a little slow but surely now Mourinho's job is to surround him with rapid players.

There are many reasons to be excited about the prospect of Zlatan joining United. One thing that cannot be overlooked, though, is the benefit it will have to Mourinho in dealing with the squad. Given his track record of success, Jose shouldn't need anything to bolster his credibility. That said, when a player of Zlatan's stature (both his accomplishments as a player and his ego) is so clearly 100% on board with the Manager, you can bet that all of the other players will get in line as well. The strength of character we'd be adding to the locker room would have a significant positive impact.

Also, I love what Zlatan had to say about his prospects for success in England. He'll be coming with something to prove and, while players can "get old" very quickly, I just don't think he'd put himself in a position to fail. If he feels confident in his ability to perform at the highest level, there's little reason to doubt him.

He laughing cos his real plan is to join City and then he'll go LOL gotcha!

My simplified version, Zlatan can be as shit as Fellaini and Rooney combined in that as #9/#10, at least we can have that extra position to compensate. Playing both Rooney and Fellaini at the same time is worse :wenger:

Even better, agent Ibra feck Pep and his team along with Yaya Cake Toure inside out while they're paying the wage. :devil:

Mentioning Zlatan and fecking Fellaini in the same breath? Wash out your mouth with soap.

If zlatan signs this will highlight how bad moyes is. If jose's signing signs before him, and how moyes dither till the deadline day only to overpay on a player he already managed for years which he should have known everything about him.

I totally flip flopped about 2 weeks ago

Wasnt up for him at all at first but gave it some thought and changed my mind

I know you're joking, but he literally said the only club he'd consider joining in England is Manchester United. And they said CL football is all you need to pull stars. Heh.

Very good post.

Actually a point I didn't consider, the one thing in his career he's probably slightly mad about what Pep did to him, that'll be a very interesting story dynamic.

How to manager:

1) Identify player you want
2) Don't do anything until last day of the window
3) Pay whatever the selling club wants
4) Proceed to play the player in a completely different position.

I think the laugh was more a, 'ffs I've answered questions on Man Utd and still you ask'.

I heard you have some much bigger interviewers in your country. Tell me about the legend known as Newbon.

Why don't we sign Kevin Keegan? Sure, he's a bit past his best, but he'll inspire the young players.

Ibra is as slightly mad as SAF was with Peter Kenyon when he feck up Ronaldinho transfer.

Also the sort of player (the exact same player in fact) that would hate van Gaal's methods.

Agreed though, we need someone who takes risks and isn't afraid to shoot. I'm curious to see if we don't have players like that already (I suspect we do) who were just impeded by van Gaal's style of play.

Agreed on both points.

From all the press cuttings, it does seem that Ibra will be Jose's first signing.
Also, I know that Woodward is very interested in exploiting the "Galactico" angle, and use big names to promote our club around the World to get bigger sponsorship deals.

It's a lot easier to market, Muller, Neymar, Ibra, as opposed to Rashford, Lingard or Valencia.

Will be fun watching Pep hide from Mou and Zlatan when we play them. He'll probably get himself sent off the game before so he can hide in the stands.

Southampton and Newcastle still jointly own the copyright on his flounce out of the car park.

Will he be good with players like Martial who are still learninig and maturing? Wouldn't want Zlatan play around with someone like Rashford. Recently read in an Ancelotti interview where he had to tell off Zlatan for shouting at a kid while training.

All this kinda is scary, he might be talented and good but might not be good for the dressing room or for the team as he thinks he is only one who has the skills and talent. Rather we go in with Martial and Rashford and concentrate on the mid field and defense.

Chinas offer will still be there in 2 years. If he succeeds at United he can ask the Asian teams for whatever he wanted and walk that league until he's 50.

Verratti recently gave an interview saying the exact opposite.
