He is clearly tapping out, 'I'm joining the biggest team in the world' in morse as he answers.
Judging by that interview he must be coming here. Looks away from the reporter all the time he is being asked about Mourinho and us except for the last few questions.
Shirt numbers mean an awful lot to you don't they!Generally they don't take numbers from players if we are talking about just any player. This on the other hand is a totally different story. We ripped the number off from Gabriel Heinze thought.
If you have a star like Ibra coming in and you have a cocky youth player like Memphis and the transfer depended on it (say Ronaldo came back), do you think the club would let Memphis stand in the way of that? They often make look like the player himself gave the number away, and in return earns some fan credits. To me the #7 has been used like a prostitute of lately. We should be more careful with it, however the spell is probably gone now for the new generation of fans.
couldn't care less about Memphis. he can lump it and just thank his lucky stars he is at our club. still has a lot to prove.He's coming.
*and we need someone like him. Even if he doesn't score a bucket load of goals, he could be the character we've been lacking for the past 4-5 seasons.
Stripping Memphis of the #7 will further damage his confidence. If Jose has no place for him, fair enough, but if he does, let him keep it.
This is a very risky transfer which can go both ways for us.
He is 34 years old;
He has a big ego like Mourinho;
Is he just after a final 'good' pay packet?;
Is he also wanting to win a League in another country?;
Can he still deliver at a top level?
He seems to want to join Mourinho/United and he may be instrumental to make us a force again but there are many question marks to be answered - then maybe we should take the risks and get him.
None of us is Nostradamus!
I'd darn well hope so as the no 7 red home jersey would look freaking stupid if it had a different no. attached to itHas to be no 7. I want one and I've only ever bought 2 shirts before in my life (1994 black away with Cantona 7 & 1999 Red CL final with 99).
No 7 Red home jersey with no 7 Ibrahimovic on the back will be the most bought shirt in football merchandising history ....

Ronaldo's different, he has a brand with all that CR7 stuff. I can see Ibra getting #11 though, as I reckon Januzaj might be off on loan/for good.
We would rather give him 21, just like RVP he's going to win that nextI'd darn well hope so as the no 7 red home jersey would look freaking stupid if it had a different no. attached to it
SchneiderlinReturn of the Diamond formation anybody?
Herrera B2B
Ibra
RW Martial
Schniderlin beside Herrera, Blind in behind, and Rasford up top and it could work, or chuck Ibra up front with Martial and Mata in the 10 spot.SchneiderlinReturn of the Diamond formation anybody?

It's really tricky. 10 is ruled out. 9 would seem very unfair because Martial is quite a big star atm and will be our future. 7 on the other hand should easily be possible to rip off from Memphis, but I don't think that's the kind of number ibra wants. 11 is also a possible number. 18 ??? That's an option for some strikers but I doubt it. The search goes on. I remember being really pissed off with giving the no. 5 shirt to Rojo while others were laughing at me. Who's laughing now.
I hope not, and doubt Mourinho would ever allow that.Schniderlin beside Herrera, Blind in behind, and Rasford up top and it could work, or chuck Ibra up front with Martial and Mata in the 10 spot.

'Keep'? Who else has besides Januzaj? Memphis was supposed to be a huge signing but he's been shite, so that's not the same.Yes, 11 is not a number for a player who's not even at the club most of the season. I can guarantee you there won't be any stars coming if we keep giving away our biggest numbers to freaking u21 players!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wonder what number he'll get? Can't imagine him being happy with #14 or something!
Speak for yourself. 25 PL goals, premier league title, pfa player of the year. Calling it.

Our most successful spell was when we had Cantona / Keane's ego on the pitch matched with SAF's off the pitchWhy is it a problem he has an ego like Mourinho. We need that kind of manager and that kind of players. If nothing our players are too nice and too shy. We need egos as we always had that in our heyday.
Exactly! Suddenly some fans are worried cause we'll have people with ego.Our most successful spell was when we had Cantona / Keane's ego on the pitch matched with SAF's off the pitch

This guy, a defender, a midfielder and Carrick staying. I think we are set.
