Only one i can think of that comes close is Ronaldinho. But he was far from the player he became.

Ronaldinho isn't even in the top 5.

You are talking about a club with Rocheteau, Susic, Weah, Rai, Ginola, Bianchi and many more, in it's history.

Fernandez, Rai, Susic, Weah, maybe Ginola. Although Zlatan probably trumps them all in terms of the success he has had over the last 4 seasons.

Never saw any of those. Heard of Weah and Ginola though.

If you look at the Culture PSG Forum (the equivalent of the RedCafe for the PSG fans), you will have this

No David Ginola: a shame because he was so fantastic and more brilliant than Weah or Pauleta

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My personal ranking:

Gold. Susic because he played for 9 years with PSG + Ibrahimovic: stats, trophies, charisma and because he has outclassed everyone + Rai

Silver. Dahleb (himslef - said Ibra is a greater striker but Dahleb has probably delivered a lot of assists) + Lama (Goalkeeper)

Bronze. Ginola, Rocheteau, Weah, Pauleta

Others Ricardo, Valdo, Leonardo, Robert, Sorin, Heinze, Ronaldinho

Promising Ronaldinho only played for 2 years and he delivered inconsistent performances. Then, Luis Fernandez was not the right coach for him.

Weah was a brilliant striker but not a top scorer in terms of stats.

Pedro Pauleta stand

 He was in my list but I thought that it was too ridiculous to name him among world class players.

And you are right. I didn't really follow his career at PSG but i´ve never considered him world class. He was the only semi decent striker we had though. Too bad he couldn't do it against top teams in the main tournaments.

No Fernandez either? Odd.

He is a fan favourite in Paris. A ray of light during our darkest days, as much for his attitude and dedication as for his goals and skill.

Isn't he the second best scorer in Portugal NT history after Cristiano?

Yeah i know from my french PSG fan friends that they have alot of respect for Pauleta. I didn't follow his career at PSG, so i didn't knew about his impact.

Pauleta is indeed the second best scorer for Portugal, the problem is that there is a stigma in relation to him amongst Portuguese supporters because he never did it against top teams in the major tournaments. He scored plenty against the likes of Azerbaijan, Kazakhistan and teams of that stature. He was effective against those. Some supporters don´t forgive him for the awful Euro2004. He was terrible in our most important moment. The likes of Nuno Gomes and even Hélder Postiga scored less goals but more important ones.

Luis Fernandez is a controversial figure amongst PSG fans for many reasons:

- disappointing second spell as a coach despite having Ronaldinho, Anelka, Heinze, Pochettino...
- irritant TV consultant
- as a player he left PSG to join the enemy Matra Racing.

He was a good defensive midfielder but he can't be considered as one of the greatest players in the French league.

Pauleta was a great scorer in terms of stats in the French league but was technically & physically limited. He was not a complete striker but a smart poacher.

He depends on others to be excellent.

I remember that Nuno Gomes goal in 2000 that almost knocked us out, top quality!
Trezeguet and to a lesser extent Henry are almost the same in France. Fortunately there's Euro 2000 to make up for the feck ups of 02 04 and 08.

@Downcast I'd put Rai in the gold category as the symbol of our golden era of the 90s.

Ok, fixed

Makes sense for Ibra to get that honour, he is the club's record goalscorer. Pauleta was sensational for PSG too though, he was the top scorer in their history for many years and I think a bit of a cult hero at the club.

Would he sign for a club without CL football?
If he was ready to sign for the mls or china then I'd say CL isn't make or break for him. The manager who starts work in july is though.

It just makes too much sense to hire Mou and bring Zlatan in. Would love to see him for a season or two play for us.

What is wrong with them? Susic, Rocheteau, Dahleb, or Bianchi should be rewarded before him.
Football only began for them when one of their hookers told them it would be cool if they owned a football club.

And there is the kicker, four season in a league with no competition playing for a financially doped team. The piss stains on the wall around the stadium have been their longer then The Zlatan.
