Bar the goal he was terrible. If you thought Chicharito was frustrating with the offside rule, this guy takes the cake.

Couldn't hit the target for toffee we created at least 6 chances good chances as well for him
 
Scored with a great strike but should've done better on a few other chances.

Every striker tends to have a few good chances per game. When Ronaldo and Messi score a goal a game you think they have just the one good chance all game? Ibra had three good chances from what I recall and he scored one. That's a good rate even though he gets big negative marks for the one where the keeper was out of the way and he should have scored. But what were these other three great chances??

In fact, I'm grateful we have him today, because with shit on a stick football like that the only way you're going to score is if you have a striker like him uptop strick a beauty like he did for the first goal.

He wasn't great, but at his age he does need support and that was shocking today.
 
Had he not scored that would have been described as a shocker. No other words for it.

There were many times he did have support and he took ridiculous and unnecessary shots.
 
Not surprised by his general performance at all. He's rubbish under pressure, and for how well he's built, he loses the ball very easily a lot. Same against the minnows in the french league, too. Good goal, though.
 
It's what myself and a few others feared, the game just looked too quick for him.

Right now he's coming up with moments, more than I expected to be fair. If they dry up though I think we'll have a problem.
 
I am a little bit confused to see people here say that he should have done better with his many chances. That first half chance after we grabbed a goal back was the only one where I really felt that he should have done better. The header off Rooney's chance, the angle was too tight and it was better suited for a header across the goal for a teammate. The numerous volleys, none of them were easy and not really good chances. The truth is that we didn't create much for him or as an entire team in general. We struggled to hold possession and our build up play was weak.


That being said, Zlatan didnt have a good game today and I expect better from him. But I don't think that we gave him any good service today.

He had the goal at his mercy with just Stones on the line and he passed it to him.
 
The goal was a great one but he was incredibly rash and wasteful. He lacked composure and just seemed to lash at everything. I think I'm just about ready to .start Rash over him.
 
I'm ecstatic at his goals. He's firing them in.

But honestly to his fans here, do we need to expect more from him in build up? He just ... didn't do much today at all.
 
A bit disappointed with him. He should have grabbed the game by the balls and made things happen. Instead he looked disinterested and slow. A touch of the Berbatov about that performance.

Like when? What support? We spent the first half sat like frightened kittens and the second lumping it forwards. He had three chances and scored one. When your team is barely in the game, you have to try your luck when you can.

Aye, that was the only real chance he was given and he should have heard a call to tell him how much time he had. Other than that the service was fecking horrid and he still grabbed a goal, something none of our other players managed to even come close to doing.
 
Other than his goals, his performances have been absolutely crap.

For such a big frame his hold-up play is non existent, simple 2-yard passing ability is shockingly poor, link-up play is at best as good as Rooney who is nothing short of terrible at it! This simply just can't be match sharpness. And he'll probably play 90 minutes every single game.

He had 9 shots and at least 6 of them were good chances for a player of his ability.
He snatched at all his chances and didn't even hit the target!
He is a great player but today he was a large reason for us not getting anything from the game.
I'd rather he missed the first and took some of the easier chances he had!

More than the chances he missed, what annoyed me was the unnecessary shots he took when players were in better position. It's like his personal enmity with Pep was bigger than the game.
 
I don't think he was great, but his finish was excellent. He always looks like he might get a goal.
 
Took his goal well but was poor apart from that, too slow to hurt that high City backline and missed two very good chances near the end of the first half.
 
Poor today, just poor. Great goal but poor overall. Still can't get my head around how he managed to feck up this chance in 46th minute or so.
 
I think if we had a functioning set of attacking players behind him we wouldn't be discussing him so much aside from him tapping in the goals, which he's usually pretty good at.

He's dropping deep as the front four as a unit are so ineffective at times. I've been saying since the Community Shield match - Mourinho still hasn't sorted thus far. He needs to pick a settled front four of the best players we have and get them playing in harmony. At the moment, no front man is going to be getting much from this United side bar crosses and long balls.
 
Didn't like that "lets hit this and see what happens" display. He will score a lot of goals but you take so many snap shots so you should. His general play has been pretty average but that should get better once the style Mourinho wants is embedded.

What 6 six chances are you on about? Are you actually counting the shot which he volleyed from Rashford's cross as a "good chance"? What's he supposed to do exactly about a defender who has flung himself in between the goal and the keeper?
 
Martial should have been brought on to replace him after 60 mins. With Rasford and Martial stretching the defensive line, and Pogba and Rooney behind pulling the strings we would have had a better chance scoring.

I dont disagree there, he was definitely a bit selfish today and too trigger happy.

Hit the target! it didn't go for a corner the tame header back at the keeper the chance with an open goal! Not.listening to arguments where he should of been given a shout if you've played football at any level you should know your immediate surroundings or at least strike the ball properly!
He had two chances around the box with a fellaini flick on, not one on one but at this level if we want to believe he is world class (which I consider him) then it's a chance. The goal was also a chance that he took
 
Really should have scored right before the break, terrible finish for that chance, and he shouldn't run into Rashford's finish like he did (probably would have been saved by Bravo if Zlatan didn't touch it though), but good finish for the goal.

Overall not good enough from him today, despite the goal. But we really should have gotten Rashford closer to him in the second half, for the sake of both of them.
 
I think he will score goals but if he want a full court press going on in the game, it aint gonna happen with the Z at CF. Think you're being harsh on the overall linking thing, very high pressure game today. Didn't have his 'shooting boots' on apart from the goal, unfortunately. Maybe we are still working out how to play with him in the team. His 2 co-forwards just didn't turn up 1st half.

and btw, I'm in the not a fan, questionable signing camp.
 
I hope Mourinho says to his face, "You're shit". That should fire him up. For his calibre, the passing is poor and very wasteful. If only he had put some power on the shot at the end of first half.

Good reaction for the goal.

I hope he's not another one of those 'can't be substituted' type of player.
