16 goals in all comps. Martial, our top scorer last season got 17. And we're only half way through December.

Flop. Past it. No chance a 40 year old could cut it in Premier League, especially for £800k per week.

His rating is really low for someone who has scored and assisted 20 in 25 games...

I said this after the last game. I think people probably just gave him a 1 or 2 in those Burnley and Stoke matches where he missed chances.

Dry goal spells are pretty normal in football. Robin van Persie had it too in 12/13 so the criticism towards Zlatan seemed a bit of an over-reaction to me. Now he's found his goalscoring boots again.
It's because no one else was picking up the slack so instead of asking why Rooney, Rashford, Martial, Mata aren't scoring more it's why isn't Ibrahimovic scoring every single game instead.

There was a moment at the end where one of our defenders aimlessly cleared the ball forward and Zlatan casually took it down with 4 opposition players around him. His technical ability and desire to win is just so good to watch.

BT said that this the most goals anyones scored at this stage of the season since RvN 13 years ago.

I may be inclined to hunt out the posters who said he would not get more than 5 all season and a couple more who said he was not good enough for the league...

There was a poster on rawk that said he would only get 4 goals all season.

I hope you can get some relief at least now. Not just with Zlatan but the team are looking like they are going in a good direction. Nothing worse than waiting week after week to feel some sort of joy.
I've seen him give Zlatan plenty of praise since. Unlike some others that won't change their minds..

Tbf, Twiggs has been honest reg. Zlatan the last few months and actually admitted he got it wrong. Many others though should feel the heat but they don't post in this thread much anymore. I wonder why?

Who's the lad who once infamously said Zlatan will be lucky to get 7 goals this season?

This is the Zlatan I'd hope we'd signed. Wonderfully clinical. If he'd had this confidence in front of goal during our run of draws, we'd be challenging for th title right now.

PSG seem to be missing him. Lost today to Guingamp.
He destroyed that league for sure. I haven't watched them this season but i did regularly when he was there. They played well under Ancelotti but i think they played better under Blanc tbh. So, no idea how Emery is doing..

The people who keep saying the shoulder barge was cowardly are exactly the type of cowards who throw sucker punches and start to cry when they get pummeled afterwards. Basically, weak men.

Thought my stream said 14goals, but if you guys are saying 16 i'm happy to take that!

Most goals by this time in the season since Van Nistelrooy in 2002 though apparently!

And the thing is, we all know he should be on about 5-10more!

Or if others bothered to at least try and score a goal. He still has 16 goals. Rooney hasn't scored since the Bournemouth match in the league,Martial has been poor and Mata hasn't been banging them in either, but yeah, blame it on the guy who is currently winning us matches.

I am not sure about the way he is being handled though, he obviously wants to play every minute of every game but Jose should be resting him a bit. He may be insanely fit but the games do add up for every player and if you look carefully there are a lot of times you wouldn't find him in the box because he probably can't run so much.

I haven't seen a 35 y.o. forward in such a good physical form. Maldini was quite good when he was already 38-39 but he was a defender. Zlatan played 4 games in 10 days and his best performances came in the last 2 games. That's amaizing. I didn't expect it at all.

More important than Zlatans goals: He is a leader. The way he motivated the team the last match after 2-1, made sure they did not lose it to much and focus, and the way he went down to play as almost a holding midfielder, shows what a big affect he has on the team. This is the same type of leadership he took to PSG and made them win 4 seasons in a row. The first season without Zlatan but still with superstars like Cavani and Di maria, they are trailing in 3th place. Another loss today against a team not close to have same quality as PSG. His character, winning-mentality and confidence is extremely valuable to a team like United, who to be honest lacks leadership on the pitch. (Carrick and Rooney is really not that type of character).

Zlatan is a winner and a leader, beside a great goalscorer.

Zlatan wants to play. Himself say so. That should be more than enugh.

Has there ever been a more influential 35 year old striker in the EPL ?
Feck me he's been brilliant for us.
Teddy Sheringham. 2000-2001 season I think he was 34/35. He won FWA Footballer of the year, PFA footballer of the year and was in the team of the season. Since no one has done anything like that until ZLatan, it makes you realise how great Teddy did!
